East Buss Bars

where are you guys getting your materials to make bus bars?? I cant seem to find anything in the Atlantic provinces.

you dont really need to go with copper........I'm using 1/2"x2" 6061 aluminum flat bar........works fine for me......its not as expensive as copper either!!
if ya need a set made up i can help ya out

I don't need them Right away but I am gonna need them soon. I'm gonna need them big enough to hold 6 wires for each bar. I'm doing 4 runs of + and - from the batt to the bar then 2 runs from the bar to the amp.

Do u have a local metal shop? They are usually willing to cut lengths of flat stock for minimal fee. Most prob wouldn't have copper, but they should mostly have aluminum.

like i said i can make em for ya.....for a small charge.....im in bc so id have to ship em....but i get killer rates......if u can find it local cool....make sure u get either 5053 or 6061......if they say 7075 say no.....u dont need it!!! thats aluminum specs by the way!!

^A assume the differences in the aluminums is the alloy contents. Is the 7075 just overkill or expensive or what. Is there any metals you flat out shouldn't use?

7075 is more structural, its alot harder.....way more expensive.....6061 is what i use.....anything will work....just whatever fits ur budget!!

you dont have to, again it comes down to budget.....stainless hardware does cost way more.....galls if you dont use antisieze, but is better.......but like i said you dont need it

i just went to best metals (a metal recycling shop)
paid $6 per pound (1 piece 18 inch long about a 1/4 inch thick)
