What gauge of wire does your car have?
You don't need to remove any speaker wire just disconnect them. Don't even bother pulling your amp before you head out. That way you can still listen to music on your long drive. And it doesn't take any time at all to simply swap out amps. My advise to you is sit back, relax, and have a beer.

Yeah thats right...You have an amp in the trunk already...
No need to run RCA's or power wire!!
Its already done!!YEAH!
As far as hooking up the amp,its easy as pie!The guys will help you out...
Yeah...Thurs.I'll run by All-Start and drop off the amp to Bob(Grizz)...already talked to him about it today...
You dont need to disconnect anything in the doors...just maybe the back speakers, but thats easy enough...2 wires each..done!
This way all the deck out put will ony go to the sub amp and nothing else....easy as all can be!!

No, don't run your front stage amp(s), as Clay said. They could even hurt overall output, as overall voltage would be lower since you're powering and firing two amps instead of just a sub amp.
My own van, with it's four amps, will have power disabled to all amps 'cept my sub amp.
K, Friday is a workday at my shop, so I may be "in & out" all day. So if you show up bright & early, I'll be able to coach you through the setup if I'm to busy to help.
Like: "Run this cable here, put ends on it and attach to here. Then run this to that, then I should be back for your next step."
And we'll drink lotsa coffee and if it's a dead day maybe go to Hooter's (it's across the street) after we finish up for wing's or something.
