first of all this all started at yuli's show aug19th yaniv came down with team xmax from montreal jumping around and being irrogant saying wait and until you see what eric hits and already started gettin on everyones nerves.
he walked around the show looking at everyones system stating that ''their eqiupment was crap'' this was implying towards myself where he made the comment FUSION product is and if im competing against him i can go to sleep then went over to kenny's van stating DD is garbage ill have no problem beating him as well.
Then yaniv went into the lanes against chris checko and did an unsportsmanlike thing after he beat him in not to many words he said " i told u i would hand him his ***" which was heard by many ppl. A few runs later i went up against yaniv in bass race where he was once again unsportsmanlike when i had equipment failure he said see that cheap blows up theres nothing wrong with my product gloating and bein really loud.
Someone in the backround said go back to your own country which wasnt me because john wolak was running my vehicle i was no where near the vehicle this is where mark from team xmax looked over and gave me a look like he wanted to have a physical confrontation with me.Then recently at the Barrie 2x yaniv went around telling ppl i wanted to punch out eric which i didnt even know at the time my problem was with yaniv. There at the show yaniv showed up with 4 amps to try and humiliate chris checko whos still techically owns yanivs amps. Later on yaniv found out that nick cimino lent chris checko 2 amps i over heard yaniv call nick a traitor for lending chris the amps this is when i talked with chris checko and his brothers about what he said to nick where at this point i was informed by chris checko that yaniv still had an outstanding balance to him for the amps he is using.
So if thats not proof enough coming straight from the horses mouth then what is.............
Damn Ed... had you posted this in the first place we could have saved ourselves a lot of headaches las night!

Thanks for clearing things up. I'm glad we could get this worked out without things getting too out of hand. I hope there's no hard feelings, there certainly aren't any from my side!

Heh... it's not up to me to judge man. I just think that if you're going to call someone out then at least substantiate it. (which Ed has now done and I'm going to leave so people can make up their own minds)

I wasn't at the shows so I have no idea what happened. I've heard from a few people that were there, but I'm not about to pick sides based on 3rd party accounts of the story.

I do not want to spoil more oil on the fire, but i do not remember clearly this incident. Weeks later, i got more information on what happened back there and clearly i was mistaken about the whole situation. If i did looked offensive, please i offer my apologies, but that was never my intention. Based on what i remember, my anwser to what i was told about the "go back to your country" thing was someting like that's not some good sportmanship and i was trying to see who told that, and to be honest, i do not even remember who i've looked at, so let alone point to someone in particular, since i do not even remember who it was, nor what he looked like.

However, i never sought any physical confrontation with anyone. C'mon we are all grown up people here, and words are better used to solve problems than fists, and moreover, we all do this sport for fun. If there is no more fun to do with dBDrag racing, well, we may as well turn to stamp collections... And if diplomacy fails, well you can always use Lane 1 and get your adversary in lane 2 to settle the feud and let the TL do his job.

However i'm glad that people had chances to express themselves on some issues that happened and to clear things up.

And i approve the SPL Reality Show, should be fun!

Regards

Marc

East

I think it's time we ALL grow up. (and yes that includes myself)

I wasn't going to post anything on this, but after reading it again and again and again I feel it's time for me to break my silence.

I think we can all agree THIS IS A HOBBY, often people refer to this as a SPORT but it is really a hobby. Hobbies are what people do in there spare time to not only entertain themselves but to have fun. (and spend money lol).

We are all taking everything too seriously these days and need to get back to our roots of having fun, several things have happened over the past few weeks, some incidents have happened. Unfortunately somehow I got involved with some of them, but that is another unpleasant story which I will not go into. But I will say none of this needed or should have happened.

Let's just all take a step back and remember why we all started to do this, it's for fun. If your super competitive and can't take loosing, then this hobby is probably not for you. EVERYONE looses, noone has a perfect record. A perfect example is Alan Dante, while he talks too much for most people's liking, is he currently the loudest on the planet -- look at his stats page, he hasn't always been loud and hasn't always won!

Like I said before, it's time to get back to our roots, goto a show, and have a good time. If you win, then awesome! If not, shake the hand of the person who beat you - congradulate them. Then talk to them, share pointers and tips. Share experiences, share jokes, get to know each other. In the long run if we help each other out, it will benefit everyone.

Most people in Europe are friends and help each other out, and share ideas, they are dominating almost every class in dbdrag. It's time we learn from the best. I understand why there is some hesitation behind this -- but -- this needs to be a 50/50 proposition, both peopleneed to bring ideas to the table, not just a 1 way conversation.

Over the past few months, I have spent lots of time and money trying to develope my dbdrag judging setup, I am trying to do all I can do for everyone to try to make this hobby do good in Canada again. I even gave up competing so there would be a judge in Eastern Canada. I want my judging setup to grow but unfortunately I'm not rich it's grows from 1 show at a time. I know I do not have a Sam Horn setup, but I am trying!!

So lets all take a step back from the BS and re-evalute why we do this. This post was not meant to insult anyone or call anyone out, I hope it did not come across that way.

Y'know what... I think Chris has hit the nail RIGHT on the head. So I'm going to close this post on a positive note. (for once!)

If you guys want to start another thread to congratulate Yaniv then go ahead. But I'd like to leave Chris' post as the last 'legitimate' one in here as a bit of a reminder to everyone about the FUN this is all supposed to be.
