I was thinking about running a dvd head unit and was wondering if anybody uses one for comp ? and yes I know Yuli uses one and seem to do ALRIGHT i guess lol
are there any recomendations alpine pioneer legacy hehe.

 

go with alpine jigga. but to be honest i wouldnt use a dvd deck for comps, they tend to break real fast. i broke 2 pioneer and on my second alpine now. this is in less than 2 years.

 

well that kinda seals the deal im gonna stick with my nacamichi for comp and get a dvd for my other car thank Yuli your the best.

 

yah but are you hittin da numbers as high as Yuley is. From what he told me, if you're hittin above 150 then don't bother cause I have a kenwood kvt717 and it works well but I ain't even hittin close ta fada yuley. I hit 144.9 on tl on 1000watts wit 2 weak azz jl audio wv 6 12"...all in da box mang thax to citrate and willcann.

 

I think i do ok you can ask Yuli my civic was pretty loud 3 L7's and 2 kicker 1200.1's do the trick the last comp i was at i beleave i was hittin 150.7 like i said im gonna stick with the Nac and get a dvd for my other car.

 

my friend has a 7990 and at a show in 04 in the db drag lanes gives the thumbs up and watches his deck take 30 seconds to load the cd.....but its a great sq deck.

 

there u go. these things break. get a dvd deck and use it for spl, a great way to find out which company honours their warranty best.......this is the reason i switched from pioneer to alpine.

 

in all honesty id rather not take the chance and have to deal with the bs involved in getting it warrantied im just gonna use one in my daily driver
