is it faster to go into the usa and up ?

no, hwy 3 I believe. Do a google maps on it, it should take you about 9ish hours.

ha! what the hell... hmmm well either way thats what mapquest gives me... also notice it is miles not KM i think it might be faster going through the states when you look at what the roads are like as opposed to the crowsnest pass..... also these times are assuming you do the speed limit.....

lol i did earth and it told me 10hrs
i like the hwy 3
what is Castlegar to Cranbrook?(i just looked it up 3hr29min)
and if you look up vancouver to Castlegar is 8hr 20 min and we all know you can do it in less

in the usa it is about $10 pr 1mile over the limit

yeah but the thing is that the whole damn pass is limited at like 40-80km depending on where you are.... so i think these times could be murdered as long as the roads are decent

so we could do it in 9.5hrs or so.... i know i have been trying to figure out how to turn this into a day trip, but i think its going to involve atleast one night in a hotel...
