You *might* want to hold back on that particular insult. C Team posted a reason for the low dbdrag competitor turnout, in response to a question that was asked at the very beginning of the thread by Yuli, before you even posted...

And with the population density in Quebec and southern Ontario being ALOT higher than the west, eastern shows *should* have a much higher turnout, regardless of whether it's a 1x, 2x etc.

It does suck that the show didn't break even. Had my car been functional I would have definitely been there to have my *** handed to me by Dustin in C.

the turnout really wasnt that bad. I think it could have been better but the location is pretty far from the main competitor bases in the west.

With that said the competitors that did come out had an awesome time.

Great show Dale, James and Marty. Cant wait until next year.

Yuli, it's because you are so damn P I M P!!!!!

I actually regret that I mentioned not breaking even, it wasn't meant as a complaint, it was meant to show to other shops and competitors that the reason we should be putting on shows is not for the cash, but to keep the competing alive and build on the competitors that show up. Without that there is really no point to do it at all. In other words, if you hear of a show, bloody well show up, and then you will have no reason to complain that there are no shows... because if nobody shows up, there will be no shows PERIOD......

NOT a rant, just stating simple facts.

Besides all that crap, I sure had fun doing the show, and I will totally continue to do them as long as people have fun at them and continue to show up.

Well, I can guarantee one thing. If I held a show here on the island, the turnout would be even lower. How many people are going to travel by ferry for 2 hours each way, paying on average of $70.00 each way, then a hotel for the night as that is the only way to make it to a show on time. Next up, I am 4 hours from Vancouver, so all you Edmonton guys are going to have one hell of a road trip to get here. Fuel, food, strippers (there goes the budget for the trio), more fuel etc. just makes it really hard to have a show here. At least this last show was far more central for BC and Alberta guys. Good for you for putting on a decent show.
