Dude, those who know what you do appreciate it. We all know that there's really no shows in ontario that rival what you put into yours in awards and prizes. I dont care if anything thinks im swinging from your nuts man, ive seen first hand what you do, and your passion for the industry. Ive been competing in cspl for 4 years now and it just gets better every year. Trophy's are off the chain, and how many other org's or promoters can say they give away the kind of stuff that cspl competitors get. I dont think anyone can. Keep up the good work man, **** the haters.

lol Nick who cares. I cant believe you even read what Richard wrote.

Why should he call all the show promoters and shops is beyond me. He booked the shows, the puts on the shows, he provides points for Db Drag. Where is the problem? It's not his fault everyone else is either fukking slow or too dumb to get with the program.

who cares about the trophies man. you want trophies? come by i'll give you all 50 of mine.

he booked 6 db drags, two of which are multi point events. it's not like he booked a db drag for every weekend of the summer. where is the problem again? If people choose to go to a cspl event as opposted to someone else's Db Drag show who's problem is that? Maybe cspl has something to offer, something that people want? Like nice trophies or prizes?

I dont care about cspl either, yet i've attended all the cspl shows that are local to me. It's fun, gives me something to do on that day. I even won a prize, which i gave away to someone. It didnt matter to me, but i made someone happy.

I see alot of people are feeling insecure all of a sudden with Richard booking 26 shows (only 6 of them being db drags). If someone wants to do a show they should just set a date and do a show. Why is everyone getting intimidated by all these cspl shows? Jay did it, on the same day as a cspl show, worked out well if you ask me.

I go to whatever is closer to me, doesnt matter if its db drag, cspl or usaci. If there is a cspl here and db drag in hamilton on the same day, im going to the cspl event. If it's the other way around, then I'd be at the db drag show. But that's just me.

I think its funny that you said he should have called shops and promoters. I didnt even know there were more than 2 show promoters in Ontario, and most of the shops are too cheap to do a show. Like the reject at Stereo 1 who didnt even want to provide the power. Barclay tried calling shops when he was trying to promote, ask him how well that went. Nobody wants to spend a ****** penny on a show. Shops just want to get their name out and have customers lining up to buy their product.........and they want all this with zero investment.

The problem is not with too many shows or Richard booking every day of the summer for his shows, the real problem is shiity promotion and lack of effort that people put into promoting their events.

Richard...

Even though we don't get along I have nothing but respect for the amount of work you put in to your shows and the number/size of prizes you give away.

The biggest problem is, like Nick said, that you just rub people the wrong way. When others are trying to promote their own shows you do nothing but bring up CSPL. This just makes you look childish. As the saying goes "if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all"

When people book a show on the same day as yours you just bitch about how YOUR shows were booked first. Big friggin deal. Worry about your own business. You put on 26 shows in a very short period of time so of course there is going to be overlap. Is everyone supposed to just stop putting on shows because you've decided to run an incredible amount? I don't know about you but I'm always bothered when I go in to a store to buy a product and the sales person does nothing but talk crap about comparable items by other companies. This is basically what you're doing.

Finally, it's the whole "do you know who I am??" attitude. Great people never have to talk about who they are or how amazing they are. Just do your thing and people will respect you. When you try and force people to respect you they get offended. Why not let the fact that you're one of the best show promoters in the entire country speak for itself? In the end that will go a lot further than you talking a bunch about yourself. Be humble, people appreciate it a lot more.

Also... you've got your own CSPL section... please use it.

I understand what he's talking about. But 26 shows is a bit much.

If he took 26 so/so shows and turned them into 10 wicked shows, it would probably give him more time to organize and promote them, and have them on days that nothing else is going on! Also, if he has prizes for 26 shows, if you had the same or a little less for 10 shows, that would be a lot of swag for 10 shows! jmho!

I don't personally have much use for RIchards prizes, however I do like that Richard has prizes, they appeal more to the newbie than to me but who cares its FREE. Also CSPL is geared towards the newbie so it works and also what do you expect at the triple he gave away like 5 prizes for 10 competitors, I never won anything but I appreciate what he is doing for the sport because 8 years ago I could definately have seen myself going to every show for the chance to win a 200wrms amp

blah, blah, blah, blah, blah...same old b.s. from the same old people. Everyone complained that ther were no dbdrag shows. I remember in 06 exclding checco's shows how many were there in Ontario??? I remember Wade saying at the end of the 06 finals in Barrie that if we wanted more dbdrags he would step up and what happened??? Ya gotta give him credit cause he did step up. Why be angry at the amount of shows that he runs? If he wanted to then he could stop doing the dbdrag portion but despite all the b.s. going around he continually is supporting dbdrag along with his cspl. So he has alot of shows. If you guys want to throw shows there is something on this forum called a calendar. If you don't know how to use it then p.m. the mods and they will do it for you. Nick, bro for you to say that he should consult all the other promoters before he does his schedule??? Whos are the other promoters mang??? I don't see why anyone should have to consult anyone before putting on a show. Maybe I haven't been around long enough But I remember hearing from some of the competitors in 06 that dbdrag was dead. The funniest thing is even if Richard stops doing dbdrag shows I'm sure that everyone else would be happy but how many of you would step up??? How many of you guys stepped up in 06 other than checco or Concepts on Wheels?
P.S. If some of you did step up then I apologise due to the fact that I was new to the scene and only knew about concept's and checco's shows.

If you don't like Richard thats fine but bottom line is when it comes to shows shut your mouth he is doing good things, if you want to get your shows in then book them on dates other than his or book them earlier. There were zero shows booked in Ontario when Richard posted his schedule and I honestly think that all shows should be dbdrag and bass race only and CSPL should be done with but thats just my opinion and its probobly only because I don't do CSPL if I did I am sure I would see why it is needed
