I am looking for a 'Back Yard' or Self Employed Installer/Fabricator that works from home, to work with me for my project because:
1) I am Self Employed, so I like to support the little guy.
2) I want the freedom to be a 'Back Seat Driver' at times, throughout the process.
As I said in the title, I am looking for someone in Calgary.
I have interviewed 1 person so far and frankly, I was so happy with what he told me, I didn't bother to look elsewhere....but due dilligance tells me that I should, if not just to compare so that I can make a more informed decision about who I contract.
What I am looking to have done:
1) Custom Door Panels/Pods to house (1) 6.5" driver per door, sealed rear chamber as part of panel, when complete, panel needs to be re-wraped in grey vinyl. I am going for more of an 'OEM' look. I would also prefer cloth/stealth grilles with a countersunk driver. Essentially, I want a 1 piece panel, not a door panel that looks like it has a pod attached.
2) Custom Kick Panels to house 1 pair of Dome Mids (sealed backs on Mids, so easy build) and 1 pair of Tweeters. Same idea as above. Nothing flashy, OEM looking, stealthy, vinyl wrapped.
The more 'plain looking' or OEM looking, the better. I don't want the system to get as much as a second look from anyone.....
Basically the same for the trunk. Complete stealth, all behind removeable inspection panels, so that when the trunk is open at the store and I am loading stuff into it, it will simply look like a trunk.....not a Rave-on-wheels with neon and plexiglass......
The Car:
1989 Skyline GT-R.
The equipment:
All Hertz Mille series. ML1600 Midbass, ML28 Tweeters and HD500 Dome Mids.
The General Direction:
3-way Active Stereo Front Stage, NO rear fill, single 12" Subwoofer. Total of 1430w RMS in proposed installation configuration. I already own all the equipment and it's ready to go.
Nothing overly fancy, I am not looking to win any trophys, just good tunes in my Dream-Car build, that is getting re-built from the ground up more or less.
Depending on the outcome, I may also contract the person interested to do my custom trunk as well which will house 4 Audison Amplifiers, 1 Hertz Mille 12" ML3000 Sub and assorted AudioControl devices, along with supplimentary electronic devices for the car itself (Kenne Bell Fuel Pump Voltage Controller, Kenne Bell Ignition Voltage Controller, Battery relocation etc).
I would be interested to meet anyone interested, in person, as well as see pics of your/their previous work ahead of time....as well as get quotes as to what the initial part of the project will cost me (Door Panels and Kicks) so that I can make a more informed decision about who I would like to contract to take on the project.
