hey all, it was a good event, i got my second 2nd place in Street C, the puddly red jeep runnin a dead battery that still pushed 141.6 to get 2nd place.

Didnt make it to finals on sunday passed but helped on the system for team sweet 'n' low to compete in the blue taurus wagon.

Finally a member here. wow late eh?

My experience with FM Audio isn't necessarily a good one. (Poor Install)

Had I joined this forum before the 13th, I might have gone down to be a spectator.

How often are these types of events taking place?

 

this is the first year in a long time fm has held an event, there was one every month of the summer (4) and the last one was a 2 point event. and showing up to a db drag at a store doesn't make the store any money, they have to pay to have the shows. the reason they have shows is to get people into the store to see there merchandise, and possibly make a purchase. if you win at a show there's a trophy or medal, and you're score is put on db drag's website for bragging rights. so if you're not going to participate in a show just because you don't like the store, just remember your not really helping the store make money, you're participating it a event we're trying to make more popular in canada, and the more entry's we have in shows and canadians at the finals in the states, the more chance we have to get a finals somewhere in canada. so show up and enter as many as you can, and recruit your friends and everyone needs to try bass race at least once, its the most fun you'll ever have.

 

I wasn't saying I wouldn't participate because I don't like the store. I wouldn't participate simply because my system isn't something that I would, or could, compete with. I don't know anything about these events. Just thought it would have been something cool to check out, had I known about it earlier.

My install was done poorly. That is probably more a reflection on the individual who performed it, and not the store itself. However, my car was returned to me with an obvious install error that he had intended to cover up, by wiring my 6X9 out of phase. Say you made a mistake, do whats necessary to fix it (if possible) and offer the customer something that makes coming back to your store in the future in his best interest. They didn't handle it in this manner.

 

i totally agree not shopping at the store if you had a bad experience, and you're system does not need to be amazing to do bass race, as long as it'll do 129.9. trust me try bassrace next year it's alot of fun.
