YYAAAAAAAAAAAAAaaaaaaaa BABYYYYYYYYYyyyyyyyyyyy!!!
To whoever missed the show... Man you missed a good show!!! One of the best 1x dbDrag's ever!
We had about 30 competitiors in the drag... And another 30 in the Show & Shine. Lot's of food, fun & frolics!
Rob & Aaron, with just one week's notice, did an amazing job at organizing and running this show!
We raised over 1200 bucks for Clay
And prizes...... ohhhhhhhhhhhhh man the prizes... There was contests & giveaways, for hats, t-shirts, jackets, mugs, neon, etc. etc. And there was raffles for the big shwag.... Best contest of the day was a slurpee guzzling contest... Three adults and one kid about 10 or 11 years old... And the kid KILLED the adults... downed an entire large slurpee with his hands behind his back... it was awesome!
And I cleaned up on prizes!!! I'm the big raffle weiner of the day!
I won this ultra-cool "Emergency Hammer" that may just save my life if I ever get in a car accident...
And I got a green neon thingy for in the van...
And a Mountain Crest hat for the boy...
And a 12-disk Clarion cd changer woohooo!!! I can trade it off for a Kenwood one at my stereo shop!
AAAAaaaaannnnnnnnndddd..... a 25,000+ watt 18" quad voice coil Atomic Apocolypse X subwoofer!!!!!
All that, AND I landed 1st place in SS 1-2 NW again... With a weak 143.3dB

Sounds like a great show for a great cause
But what's with the weak scores in some of the classes? I expect now to never see under 140 in any class, especially 122! Man, I did 122 last year at the Kelowna show with my two 7" midbass mounted free-air in the kick panels of my SQ system Far cry from the old days of the early 90s though when cracking 130 was big and 140 was HUGE.

There was more first timers than there were seasoned vets... With the short notice, the vets weren't all very "ready". That's why the low scores... That, and there was a few bags of sand lying around, that's for sure.
And myself, we were using my system as the music/PA system. So I was wired to be powered up all day at the normal 12 to 13v, instead of my usual locomotive cell 15v competition setup.
When it came time to burp, I just shut Aaron's microphone off and closed the doors, pulled my port plug, and disconnected the battery charger. Didn't move seats or clear the van out or anything... used the cd walkman out the back doors, that I had been using for music, to play the tone. I figure I did pretty good for no preperation
