The point is to encourage the 'big guns' to still come out but to not have them hammer the casual competitors. That's a fine line, especially if there are minimal competitors to begin with...

In SQ you always have a chance, do to the personal opinion in judging. This is why Steve snuck by, and beat me.
I understand that Rob may want his presence known at a show like HOB. Younger people can learn alot from him, and it shows them what you can do with a little planning and a little know-how. the same kids just don't want to get their *** handed to them by him. We've been down this road before.
And I don't want someone not compete just cuz they'll see my setup and know I'll kick their ***. It seems like people only want to compete if they can win, not to get out there have fun and learn.

Hey lets bring back the FSBS post again!!
FSBS FSBS FSBS
No the bashing the promoter of 2002's shows is over.
The future shop house of boom shows were great the first year, and after that went to sh*t. I really enjoyed the 6 foot trophy I won for 1st place in 2 sub class in western canada. Should have been that way again in 2002, but once again rules were changed to help future shop customers win. Anyways enough, If future shop can get a good set of rules and follow them, they will be OK.

I liked HOB. They always had stupid big trophies
Not to mention if it weren't for going to the finals 2 years ago, I never would've met Rob with his 2 wee round solos and 2 L7s, or Team 8track and his xplods or jack

I usually take about 11 hours to get to Chiliwack. Calgary is 2 hours from here so you should be good to go for about 9 hours to Calgary.
