Help Build Civic System

great tips so far
Tks so far on all the great advice.
Any one ever used or heard of the Alpine head unit CDA-9820XM? Any comments on Alpine head units in general? Quality of sound - Reliability - User friendly - Ability to see in sunshine etc...
It has built in XM tuner. No second tuner needed. I want XM and like the idea of not having to add an annoying 2nd tuner that sticks out of the dash.

Clarion Subwoofers and amps are what I run in my car.
IMO they are some of the best you can get for the money.
Clarion PXW1542 would be a good choice
As for the Alpine head unit, I dont know about that one but alpine has always been quality, and I know people who have had alpine head units for years with no problems at all

What's left to get:
1) head unit - looking for cd capability, maybe bluetooth upgradeable, decent graphic show to impress friends & neighbours - don't need ipod ability
2) 2 x 6.5" front speakers (has seperate tweeters in doors)
3) 2 x 6X9 speakers for rear
4) 4 channel amp to drive front & rear speakers
5) sub or subs (need small size since wife wants to keep most of the trunk clear)
I am interested in sound quality over loudness. However, I do realize it's gonna be loud anyway.
Once I piece it together I'll post the winning suggestions and who they came from for bragging rights.
Cheers!

comps: Goto the shops nearby and listen, everyones ears are different gotta find which ones you like.
rear fill: Ehh im nto much of a rear fill guy so jus go listen to some 6x9's at shops and pick some out
speaker amp: as for an amp i would suggest getting a 2 channell and giving you comps more power. Your front stage is much more important. So just give you 6x9's deck power
Sub: if you budget is decent after all of this a 12" mag fits the bill. Good output sealed and can be enclosed in a small box 1.6 i was what i heard and it sounded very nice.
Hope this helped
