Pay attention to the WINDCHILL factor you see on TV weather broadcasts. Windchill is what the temperature feels like on your skin when you combine the wind velocity with the actual temperature. It can hit - 30 pretty easy.
Dress in layers for the Winter. Like a "T" shirt, shirt, sweater, maybe vest, then a good coat. Down filled if you can afford it.
Always wear some type of hat, NOT a baseball cap. The majority of heat loss is through the head area.
Frostbite is no joke. Google up some pics if you want to scare yourself. If something starts going numb (ears-toes) get inside.
