l thought hamilton was on the same day saturday.

this could be my last post for awhile.
you don't lose points, you accumulate them. Once you get X number of them you get banned.

I make a living off these sites? Are you kidding ? CCA hardly pays for my ferrari, let alone the 9 car garage attached to my 7500 sq foot house.
Have you not seen Richard Wades doors on his house, i ain't got those

I dont care if judges training was packed, congrats to the guy from detroit!
im not knocking Jasons work or efforts.

How is IASCA not supported here ?

I am telling you that the event organizers at CSCS have personally said to me they run with IASCA based on the name; it helps them get sponsors... so WTF is the problem ? Iasca tends to be dead at CSCS shows, welcome to reality.

PAS mag = joke.

Would be NICE if Iasca was more jam packed at CSCS, not a deadzone. Maybe Jason , Kevin and Dwayne need to sit down and rethink their marketing strategy.

So I think it is time that I share my opinion on this subject. I know I know I don’t normally post… I do however read all the posts on here… I am one of those that retailers and businesses don’t really enjoy as I am not one to share my opinion when all is well… however when something is not right I will step up and voice my opinion… so as a reminder this is my opinion and if someone has an issue then you can talk to me directly… anything I say on here I will gladly repeat in person… I am exactly the same online as I am in person… ask those who know me on here… I am the same no matter where I am… and yes that means I stand up for myself and others, no matter who is questioning me.

“dude makes a living off these sites”

Nice… please advise me and all the others on here how this “dude” makes a living on this site? Are you really serious? No one can make a living off of a website… well unless its gambling or ****… I see neither of that here. He is a normal guy with a normal job and does this on the side. Be happy he does or you would not have anywhere to play.

I am not sure where this came from or why it was brought up? Admincca did reply to his original post correcting any confusion about what he said… he is not cutting down IASCA or CSCS… just that the turnouts are not that great … the location of the IASCA booth at the show is not the greatest… (thank you for the feedback Admincca.. that’s what the show promoters need so that they can fix things)

CSCS and their decisions… well I can give you some insight on this as I have personal dealings with the CSCS crew and know their objective. Admincca you are correct with why CSCS has chosen IASCA… however they are new to the sound game and are learning. There were other reasons to have a sound portion to their show… why??? Well… let me tell you.

1. Many of their show car competitors have systems… they are not that loud but like to know what they are hitting… so infact having a SPL portion to their show is a way for the CSCS followers to know what they can do with their systems.

2. They have sanctioned events so that way other competitors who are only into the audio can also have a place to play. People always complain about shows so here is a large show promoter who wants to help them out… the turnouts are low however it is just the beginning and in time it will grow. Just like any other show out there… it takes time. IASCA was a good choice as well because it does have a Rookie decision so the show guys do have a chance to place when they compete as they will not be up against the hard core competitors… all you newbies out there know exactly what I am talking about… no one likes to go to their first show and get their asses handed to them by 10 db’s.

3. SQ at CSCS… this is a new thing this year… Jason Gay asked if we could add SQ to the event as he had many SQ competitors asking for shows… the first show only had a couple… and yes that dude from Detroit was there too… I guess he doesn’t mind traveling. The others I am not sure what happened… all I can say is if they want a place to play then I guess they should start supporting or that wont be available anymore either.

I find this comment amusing… I know that people are not all fans of pasmag HOWEVER I do seem to remember going to a certain show that they were there handing out magazines. I don’t want to assume it was 1 particular person who suggested they be there because their was others part of the show… so I will just leave it at that… PASMAG is what it is… love them or hate them… but I can tell you that they are at all the big shows… so they must be doing something right.

In time it will grow… the number one thing is support from all sides… that is the actual CSCS car show guys, as well as the competitors from the other side.. the hardcore competitors… I don’t want anyone to blame Jason as he has no part in the organization of the show… he is there to offer SQ for all those who are fans of it. As for CSCS they are working on their marketing… that is why at the Quebec show 2 organizations are being offered… dBDrag and IASCA… CSCS is a different type of show… look at where they are held and what they have invested into it… this is not just a little show held in a parking lot… this is a big *** show that has a lot of potential… but as I have said several times already.. it takes time and support from all directions to make it bigger and better.

I understand concerns and so on… however one thing that would be nice to see is, if you see a problem instead of assuming and cutting each other down why not tell the organizers what you would like to see… if the turnouts are awful… share your thoughts why are they low?? Do you have any suggestions on to why they are low and what can make them better??? I found this post a little upsetting for the fact that the show is only days away… you guys want to know what CSCS is about… then why not attend on Saturday. I mean if everyone who posted on this post actually showed up on Saturday and competed or supported, the show would get bigger from that alone.

We do this as a hobby, we love to do it... people always complain there is no shows blaa blaa blaa.. .then there is a year like this year where there are shows every weekend and we find the same old people complaining.. now its not about not having shows its about the show and their turnouts... I dont get it... my opinion... go out and have fun... compete, spectate who cares support one another and have fun doing it... you may miss out on so much.. believe me this sport has a lot of drama... but I love every minute of it.. I have made life long friends, true friends that are there for you even though their is distance inbetween and I met my soul mate, the love of my life... it can't get any better than that.

Martine or Mar or MRS.AUDIO or the new and improved SPL.MOM... call me what you want... its all good!

We will keep registration open to the IdbL compeitors until 6PM. That way for those who are at the earlier show have every opportunity to attend this one as well.

TODD.

Sorry to hear about your car. Some things just never change and no matter how well we protect our pride and joy its never enough.

ADMIN

Thanks for clarifying your hiccup..lol. I appreciate that and can totally understand how that happens...

MARTINE

Excellent job and I agree 100%. ITs not about bashing each other and trying to put one Org againt the other. Its also not about putting other people, friends or related businesses down. ITS ABOUT SURVIVAL!!!!!!!
AND the only way to do this is to work together and collectively find a better way to make shows grow stronger, both in attendance and financially in all the different organizations.

I know we dont make money at the shows but as a fellow show promoter it sure makes it easier to get stores to have shows when they dont lose money. WE need better sponsors, better shows to join up with(CSCS, Sportcompacttuners, NOPI etc) and most importantly more competitor participation. Hooking up with other show promoters such as CSCS and NOPI I feel is going to be the only way we can survive long term. Sponsors just dont show up for a simple SQ show anymore. They want more for there advertising dollars and having a huge show is always a good way to do it.
Jeff and Martines show is proof of that and for the show in Peterborough on the 26th I decided to hook up with sportcompacttuners and I tell u, it sure made ot easier to go out and get some sponsors to help with the prizes and cost.

The CSCS is a great partnership and one that I think will work over time. The only problem I see right now and the number one complaint is the extra fee to get in the front gate. But once u attend a show there u will realize, why there is a extra fee to get in. Its A COOL SHOW!!
The first show in Cayuga was slow on the SQ side due to the high number of cars in rebuild mode. This show will be better as most competitors need there points for Finals and most of the them have said they will be there.
And Jeff I think its great that u are keeping the registration open that late so the SPL guys can do two shows in one day.

I personally wont be able to attend the show this weekend as my employer has put Sat overtime on but I wish everybody good luck and I will see u at the show on the 26th.

Anyone attending the Brantford dBDrag that wishes to attend this show as well, please let me know as soon as you can on Saturday so I can try my best to get your class finished up early so you can hit this show up.
