Cool

WOW!!!!!

WHAT A SHOW!!!

GOOD JOB,JAMES!!

Although the trun out wasn't what most of us had expected,we had enough for a decent competition in most classes...like I say most....

Man...was that ever a thight mike..HOOOLY!!but hey..everything was fair and by the book...

To all the people who won and placed(Damon(SpiderMan),LBKC,DB,DJTHUNDERSTLE,AUST IN MINI MAN,etc etc etc(sorry if I forgot or missed you)GOOD JOB GUYS!!

The shows went almost seamlessly under the direction of James(aka Westec)....Thanks for putting together such a good competition and fund raiser for the Childrens Wish Foundation...

It was also good to see B2B out...but..on a sad note...no pajama's....no competing....and Logan,for God sake's man,leave the ladies coupons alone next time!!!LOL

The highlight of the day,for me anyway, was the outlaw comp.HOLY CLOSE CALL,BATMAN!!Make a long story short here...the end result was LBKC and SpiderMan backed in the bay against each other hatchs open to each other, and taking turns with the mic to see who could and would beat a 168.8...it must have gone on for like 1/2 hr...was crazy!!The end result was Rob(LBKC) turning up his V.Reg and giving her again...169.2!!As well remember, with each run, each man threw another $2/run in the pot...

On a personal note,I took my 5th second place win this year...Got the trophy I have been wanting all season...and alas, was also very likey the last ever comp for the Sunbird, which in someways sadens me,but in other ways excites me as well...Can't wait to get the Cavy all set up and running...this is going to be cool!!

Anyway, once again,Good Job,James...Congrats to all the people who placed or won(SPL and SQ)..

Being the last show in Calgary(as far as I know),I likely won't see most of you guys til next season....Have a good one guys!!

Yeah, good show. Everyone saw something they've never seen before, me with my car show clean finally. It was never bad before, but my engine compartment was very clean, shinny hoses... We finished the trunkwell on saturday, and built a tool rack in the spare tire. It looks very sweet. Really finished off the car. Looks better to have that panel pulled out to show it off. I'll post a few pics of it. Mini Steve took about a hundred pics yesterday including Me and Mike in the Mini. Not a heck of a lot of room for the two of us.
And I was once again beat by Mike, he took 1st, I took second. He got a 414 and I got a 404. I would have been about 4 points behind him if he didn't go and put in a tool rack, first aid kit, and fire ext. But I can say I beat him on SQ. Werd! At least I can say I have the best sounding system in western canada. Congrats to Mini steve taking 3rd. Way to go bud! Well I'm qualified, who will I see in Memphis?

This is my first time on this board and I just have a couple of things to say.

First of all a big thank you to James for bringing Iasca back to those of us who believe in a fair competition system. It seems like a few more people have caught the bug. I only hope it continues to grow.

Bootlegguy..... well what can I say. Although you didn't beat me overall, I have been waiting for weeks for you to exceed my score in SQ!!! With your upper end separates and your 31 band eq's (to my 11band single) it was only a matter of time.LoL Job well done and it's nice to see someone else hooked for a change!!!!

Who knows, after a season undefeated I may just have to retire!!!!

For the people who think everything must be high end gear to compete and as I have noticed a few people question my gear.... here it is.

Alpine 7863
Alpine Era-g320
Jl Audio XR 653CS
JL AUDIO 10W3D4 X 4
JL AUDIO 500/1 X 2
JL AUDIO 300/4 X 1

I wouldn't consider my system low end, but I would consider it low end compared to lets say the gear people were telling D-50 truck to look at putting in.

One thing to remember without competitors like the people on this board, there would be no shows. I think the bug has started for IASCA, I had a total of 179 competitors, 8 events and for the first time in Canada, a double points event. I believe people like having SPL (IDBL) competitions where they do not have to compete with professinals installation staff. My hat goes off to DB drag this year as well...cheers guys, keep an eye out for my year end BBQ Bash...
