Iasca In Western Canada
#1
As far as I know, there was only 1 show under the Iasca rules held in western canada last year. I think it's safe to assume that if the new dB Drag rules pull throuh like this, there's going to be a larger demand for Iasca events here.
So I was wondering, what's involved in getting more Iasca events in this area?
Are shops; mainly Visions, under a contract with dB Drag to host the Canadian side of the ciruit?
...And I want Future Shop's House of Boom back lol, I didn't have a system then, but went to a comp in Kelowna and it looked like a blast. And gianormous trophies too!

I would not hold your breath with IASCA. Nothing against the club just to many burnt bridges in Western Canada. But hey you realy never know.
House of Boom was fun. It was my first event I won anything at. Somtimes feels like it was 1000 years ago.
Just sit back an wait your ?? will be answered soon.

i heard someone talking about them lifting the colosus amp rule , meaning that u can have any amp in 1 case -street legal - for DBdrag ----> as for IASCA if there are more promotors here then it will be alright , its realy a flip of a coin.

car audio is going to be having a spl/sq circuit in all 5 of our stores that sell car audio, kelowna, penticton, vernon, kamloops and castlegar, culminating with a db grag double or triple point event and the westen canadian usac finals/triple point event, the tentative date is set for august 28th i believe but given the amount of cars expected well over 100 we are still trying to finalize a venue. this show promises to be one of if not the biggest show this year in western canada. i will be working closley with westec(james) in hevily promotong the usac sq side of things in the okanagon and are in talks with a lower mainland guy, charlie lillies from avi precision loudspeakers and boomers car audio, in promoting the usac brand of sq, so hopefully this year will be full of show that arent to far away so lots of people car get out and get their car judged for sq and installation. we will be setting up training times in various places to create a judging pool for the various shows around. dates and times for the training will be posted at a later date

We will be holding approx 6 - 10 shows in lower mainland alone. both sq and spl but concentrating more on the spl side of this. once again culmuinationg into a big show at the end of the year. we are putting our dollars to work here in lower mainland and will offer Iasca as our staple. i have been in talks with 3 shops about some more shows and some talks with dealers about getting a few shows on the island. there will defenitely be enough shows so that everyone can have fun. show was one of the best last year. im sure it will be again, but together we are gonna make western canada jam packed with shows.
