IdBL single point event in Mississauga May 16th

yeah its called unreasonable pricing! maybe they should make smaller trophies and use the rest of the money to have cash prizes. then people would actually show up! it isn't the competitors that are the problem is the promotors that don't know how to get attendance!

OK guys, there's no need to start flaming...
We're all on this forum to support car audio and competitions and not to diss one another OR shops or promoters.
Jim doesn't want to "get rich" off of this event; he wants to put on a show that hopefully everyone will come out to, have fun and take home some hardware. He just wants to break even...
I spoke to him today and he agreed to lower the entry fee to $30.00. He's still going to have the same size trophies and from what he was telling me he's going to have a few pretty good prizes as well.
From what I heard, a few events in your area had $20 to $25 entry fees and there were cash prizes; apparently first place was getting your entry fee back, 2nd was something like $10 and 3rd was $5. Is this right?
If so, would you all rather see that kind of setup or the trophies? Like Jim said, and I quote "I just want everyone to come out and have a good time, that's all".
Whatever you guys would like to see, let me know. If $30 is OK with 3 foot trophies for first then we'll do that. If you'd rather see a $25 entry fee and cash prizes, we'll do that instead... remember, we're doing this for you guys and gals.
Just let me know soon, so if we have to order the trophies we'll have some time.
Unfortunately, I'll be away from my PC for the next 7 days (it sucks not having a laptop). I'm on my way to the Spring Break Nationals and won't be back until a week from Wednesday. Please leave your thoughts on this thread or email me at moesab@iasca.com . Thanks guys! Talk to you in a week!

Thanks guys!
Still, I'd like to know what you'd rather have, the trophies or cash prizes.
DannO, for more info you can contact Jim at Autossey (905) 569-2300, he'll tell you everything you need to know.
As I mentioned in the thread about the triple pointer, I have a little surprise for the competitors that I'm hoping to have ready for Jim's show that'll make the event run a lot smoother and bring SPL and SQ competition in Canada to a whole new level!
See you in the lanes!
