why didnt you register bro?
answer me that question Yuli?

why didn't the original poster to this register?
can you answer that Tom?

why didn't any of the other people that are now complaining about the show register.
as for the whole vehicle being in storage and what not..to how many people does that apply? seriously...

how about everyone else who says they were going to register..
you can easily bash but yet you can't give a solid reason for not registering..

you say that they did not support dB Drag..are you serious?
if they didn't do you think they would of wanted to have the show?
you say that they cancelled it because they wanted to have more room for the "ricer" cars as you put it..WRONG!

they dont need anymore space for other sport compact vehicles..they have more than enough space for them..

what they needed was support for the locals..but instead they got nothing..they got 6 registered competitors..and from those half of them where from out of province..lol.. gib ups to my boy Yaniv for that..

you say that they didn't want it to happen..I dissagree.. it was you guys who didn't want it to happen.. people talk about the whole mind set of the "dB Dragger" and stuff.
It's also been mentioned that they dont agree with the whole pre registration thing..
It's not up to you whether you agree with it, like it or not. Thats the way the event is run and whether you like it or not it's done very well. The hundreds of sport compact competitors have no problem with it. Why is it that a few car audio competitors can deal with it?

You can say what you will, but in the end it was the lack of support from the competitors that didn't allow this event to take place. But of course that is not how you see it.

Like I asked, why is it all of a sudden people are coming out of the wood work and complaining about this. They didn't register!

Chris..let me be clear on something here..
as for this business relations I want you to understand that my part in this was as a facilitator..If anyone needs clarification on this let me first start off by saying that I was helping with this because I saw it as an AWESOME OPPORTUNITY to get a kick *** 3X here in Toronto.

I have zero business affiliation with the promoters. I have known them for a number of years on a personal level. They know of my interest in dB Drag and we've talked about having a competiton if they opportunity every arose. Then when it came to be that they'd have a 2 day outdoor event it was a perfect opportunity to see if a dB Drag event could be incorporated. I met with the promoters, I told them that we have a wicked following here and that the local guys would LOVE to have a dB Drag competition. I told them that if we were to have an event it's go big or go home. Thus making it a 3X event.

I told them that they people here were hungry for a 3X event and what better place to have it then at their show. After further discussion it was agreed and the steps were taken to get it going.

I dont believe I needed to go into details on this however since everyone keeps adding they BS into this I figured I'd shed some light on my end as well

i can answer your questions.

i did not register because the registration dead line was some time away. Dead line normally means you have to register by a set date - NOT 2 weeks before it. Am I right or wrong?

why are people commin out of the wood works now? simple - the dead line was apporaching closer and closer. But i guess the REAL dead line was some time ago.

yah sure thats how the event was gonna be run, with pre registration. people did not argree but no one said they werent going, did they?

Db drag got axed 1 month before the show and 2 weeks before the dead line..........and it's competitors' fault? right.

bad planning on their part. they should have set an earlier dead line if they wanted to see registration waaaaaaaaaay ahead of the event. simple as that. if they dont know wtf they are doing or what to expect from car audio people they should have done better research or got someone who knows how car audio people operate to take care of the db drag.

yes, i am very seriouse about them not giving a shiit about db drag. did anyone from there come on here to talk about it? no. were there any flyers or other types of promotions for the db drag portion? no. did any one care to find out what would it take to make it a successful db drag event? no. has anyone from importfest actually ever spoken to a real db drag competitor to get any advice as to how make the show a success? no. have they waited for dead line to approach? no.

come to think about it, to say that they did support Db drag is silly. This is the THE first multi point Db drag in Ontario to get cancelled as far back as i can remember. No other multi point even here has ever had any pre paid registration and none of them got cancelled. This one did, way before the registration dead line. Think about it, did they really give 2 shiits about it?

please invite the importfest group to the June 8th 3x, which will be held in a parking lot of a stereo shop, so they could see what they missed out. Shall I mention that there is no pre paid, pre registrations for this event. Except importfest would have been even better b/c of so early in the season.

George I really dont know what you know or been told but I have a strong feeling that pre registrations have very little to do with this show being cancelled. I think someone there just changed their mind or ran into some issues as far as having cars on and playing louder stereos, and it was probably easier to just cancell it all together.

I didn't register because the registration deadline isn't here yet! In fact I was going to register today because I was like "hmmm I wonder when the deadline is I can't really remember so I better register or I will forget to" and then I figured out that it was cancelled and I was like wtf the deadline isn't even here yet they should realise that dbdraggers do things at the last minute to have 6 people registered 2 weeks before is great
