Thinking about getting a JL audio amp and was wondering if anyone had any feedback on the quality? I know that their subs rock, but what about the amps?

im running 2 500/1's and havent had any problems...i think there good amps

 

I more wondering if they are high end amps or more lower end?

Let's just say the amps are clean, well built, but not quite audiophile.

 

It all depends on what your going to do with them SQ? they would be great SQ amps but as far as SPL i would go with something else. Otherwise there are awesome amps

 

i have to agree they are nice amps but they have 2 down falls
1. they are way over priced for the power they make
2. they are awesome sounding amps but they`re not so good at the ol spl.

 

they suck. buy them and give them to me. [img]tongue.gif[/img] (seriously tho, they are imo 1 of the best daily driver amos out.)

 

thanks guys for all the help. I really appreciate it. I have been out of car stero for a little bit and dont know what is good anymore. I was in it when Soundstream was just making it big and Xtant amps...so many more now. I am not sure what the right forum is...if someone could direct me, that would be great. I am into SQ (sound quality). I was offered a JL amp and not sure if I was going to accept, but I think that I will. Any more help would be great. What about planet audio amps?

Let's no get 2 parrot like repetitive .

Ya'll forgettin to add a third bonus against the two downfalls .

1) Clean Music repro . close to audiophile repro . depending naturally on choice of H.U , ( processor , if any) , components , location ,installation , etc...

2) Constant stable Power ...

!) Cost

2) what some people labelled on SPL , more then enough 500/1 -1000/1 unless you are in the early stages of hearing loss/damage with the right sub(s) combo .
