My 2 cents is this F+=K UP. Read all of this and I'm left here thinking what should I say. Been doing this SPL thing 7 years and man it has gone down the crapper the shows this year makes me regret coming back.
The Judging Don you have a rule book fu(king use it that will settle the B.S. To competitors it seems asking Don is not working well then look it up or order your own rule book or contact dB drag that is what I did back in 2008 about my amp under rear seat so to the haters FU it was legal.

Now This is to the Admins Owner of CCA just want to say this to you guys when I started this sport this site was my number 1 to find out about shows and get info I have never been banned from here but you banned people some are just but some of you are on power trips and have made this site not what it use to be.

There rules follow em or dont compete!!
I havent opened a rule book in a while, when we had the 3x in Saskatoon, don enforced the 30" rule I was like wtf.. ok
It should be as simple as they say this is the problem and u say ok I will fix it!

I have been asking questions about the rules as I havent really done much competing in couple years, and some things have changed.

Cant we all just get along? dj u get hat 56 yet?

Dave, im actually really glad that you dont have an amp under your rear seat this year as there has been a rule in place for this season making this illegal if the amp can be felt. If you have any questions over any rules the best person is the judges that are judging your car, not a team mate, team captain, or another competitor. My phone is always on and ive never turned away a competitor when ive gotten a call. Infact ive called competitors to clear things up and explain a certain ruling. If anyone wants to call me my number is 416-219-3065.

Dave, why should I or would I get a rule book or even read it when the head judge for Canada lives 10 minutes away from me. That's what judges are there for. I have a grasp of the rules already but if I need a JUDGEMENT CALL then I'll ask the JUDGE!!! That is what he does, he JUDGES!!!!!

I normally dont say anything and just sit back, read and laugh.. but this time I just have to say something.. I love you and all but really that is a weak answer.. why should you get a rule book and read the rules?? really??? How about because you are a competitor and to be the best you should know the rules inside and out.. A few years ago Jeff and I had one of the best competitors to date tell us the most important thing in this game is to know the rules, read them, know them, live them... it shouldnt matter if Don lives 10 minutes away or 100 minutes away, you should know the rules.. so get off your butt and get the rule book and read.. you wont be sorry

Martine I do know the rules. I speak to Don for clarification on them. I'd rather have him approve of something other than me getting dq'd. Please read the entire thread and you will understand my last post. I'm sure you guys know about the "forbidden grey area" right. I ask for clarification on those areas.

People like to take the easy way out.. I was and am just giving you the best advice that we have ever gotten.. get the rule book, read it, understand it.. It makes competing alot easier and alot more enjoyable.. its always nice to be educated on something completely then just wondering I think thats how the rule goes, let me ask though.. its nothing against you, its my opinion that anyone who is into this sport should know the rules completely, and the first step to that is reading them... maybe its the mom in me who knows...
