Hope to see some familiar faces!

We did a first today in history. We had the honor of being able to award first place and a first ever Iasca Trophy to none other than Alma Gates. Thats right her first Iasca Trophy. It was a moment i will remember. She is an amazing lady. Very positive and and focused.
It was a pleasure to see the turn out there. very positive and loud sons of guns. Loudest Advanced NW car ive seen. record in Iasca is held by Chris MCvay (161.6) and a dude Rick came out and hit a 159.1 in this category.
There were some loud cars there. Alma Gates bronco was the highlight. Very clean install and one heck of a sound. I spoke to the judges after the bronco was tested and it was truly amazing according to the judges.
We hit a personal best and we are happy to say that the Seattle show everyone will be out again. Come on out and check it out. See you all August 13

Pat, I'm glad you were happy with the show as the two hour drive I made from the Oregon coast to be a spectator certainly wasn't worth it.
I was really hoping to see Scott Owens & his truck although Alma & her Bronco were a consolation prize. The install was much improved over the last few years that I had seen it but it made me sad that when I was there, she looked so bored as she was sitting in a chair behind the Bronco reading a book. I don't think many people who attended the event even knew who she was.
Oh well, at least the LeMans series racing across the street at PIR was cool!
Maybe I'll find some time to get to the next one in Seattle & see if it's any better.

I was there to help promote my sponsors and most of the people just looked at the bronco and went inside the tent.. Unless you are into competition, that bronco is just a vehicle with lots of products in it.
I knew IASCA would have an event, but didn't know the new SQC would be introduced. That was frosting on the cake for me. Truthfully, being able to talk to the IASCA people made the event for me.
By the way, there were several huge events taking place in the Portland area last weekend. The LeMans, the fair, a motorcross of some type - we had bikes, motorbikes, soccer, oscarmeyer weinermobile (I still think that thing would make an awesome spl vehicle), staying at our hotel. Harman had Jeremy in town for some event with the Infinity rig also. So, there were lots of things happening which took away from people attending the Tent Sale.
I hope Seattle will have more activity.

This is one of the biggest problems within our "world" - it is so small and people tend to forget that we are playing in a "world" that would fit on top of an pencil eraser.

it was bit interesting to see someone come out of the tent sale and ask us about the little old lady next to that big truck. The tent sale was just that , a tent sale. and the other functions happenuing that day did take away from the show. In seattle the tent sale is just off the highway in northgate mall. it is a function that can be seen from the highway and will attract all the shoppers from the mall into it. Years past have seen amazing qty of competitors. But the heat does attract people to the beach.
there are many shows going on this weekend. We will be at this event running it. Pioneer guy. i was hoping that scott owens made it out too. But, i have one idol when it comes to SPL and we got prime time to talk to that Idol. Finals is te palce where ill get to see the big spl dogs. for now we got a taste of SQ from Alma Gates.
see you all there. i remember seeing her at Audiothunder in Toronto 4 years ago. She was just there standing against the railing watching the show. My friends wondered why someone would bring thier grandma to a show. I just laughed. But none of them could find the famous Alma Gates. I could.HEEHEE
we are heading out 6 in the morn. please meail me if you want to caravan there.
