Mat-Romain 05-14-2009 04:32 AM

doubt ill go, its waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay to far away

DeadlySones 05-14-2009 08:15 AM

Still torn between the 14th & the 21st. I can only afford to go to 1 of them .... costs me more for gas than paying to play in every event. The 14th is closer for me to drive, 21st gives me the extra week to get things done. I don't think I'll be able to afford the new box by then anyhow so .... I :dunno: I'm undecided. :smokin:

Will the schedule allow me to do SQ and IDBL with the same vehicle?

DeadlySones 05-14-2009 09:51 AM

I had enough time for SQI/SQC, IDBL, Bass race & Bassrace for cash at the Lindsay show. There was even time to check out peoples vehicles.

Yes both IASCA and Db Drag judges are very good at helping a multiple format competitor get through all the judging formats.

Only thing I recommend to everyone who wants to compete in both sound and DB is to have your vehicle judged in Sound First. This way if u blow anything up in the lanes your SQ score wont be affected.

snef 05-14-2009 03:40 PM

i will be there for sure
in SQC and SQI

KillerCavi 05-15-2009 01:10 AM

Omega75 05-18-2009 04:22 PM

How do the rookie classes work? I am hoping to be installed by this date and want to come to the show! I know nothing about doing stuff like this so any info or things I need to do before the event would be great to know about.

Rookie is actually very easy to compete in. Just make sure all of your equipment is safe and secure and you will do fine on install (amps solidly mounted, speakers protected with grill etc.)
The sound part is always subjective. I would just suggest you talk with another person when you get to the show so they can help you go over your car.

I will be at the show in a Silver Dodge Neon if you need a hand.

Omega75 05-18-2009 09:16 PM

Blue Cobalt for me. Im pumped to come out and meet people from this forum.

LMFAO ... :appl: That's priceless!! Hope it stays up long enough for me to show the wife.

Reminds me of my son. He likes watching some kids show about pranks .... I think it's called prank patrol or something. Anyway, he decided to try one of them by placing a rubber band over the sink extended nozel.... so that it was on. I wish I knew about it because all I heard was the wife yell, the boy laughing, and my wifes shirt soaking wet. LMAO, I guess she turned on the tap and the nozel sprayed her down. lol, it was great.

:smilie_da Yes they absolutely can. :smilie_da N130GV2 and I were at the Lindsay show and were able to work everything in.

Thanks Jason, good advice. Only you could have told me that at the lindsay show. Say before the bassrace run I did right before SQ judging when I blew a midbass? LOL J/K bro live and learn, I knew I should unplug the front RCA's before doing bassrace and dbDrag. :stroke: Eliminates any risk of damage to your front stage if you are running music instead of a straight 20-80hz tone.

Paul, give the boy a high five for me that was priceless. How old is he?

Nick

Just so everyone knows this is a great place to hold an event. There is so much to do nearby as there is a AMC Theater district right across the road from where Custom Auto radio is. There are all the top restaurants and even a cool indoor mini golf place. I guarantee no one will go hungry at this show!!!!

SEE u there this Sunday.
