there can be a huge difference, think of how you could legally put 100 layers of paint on the car, that will reinforce the car and there would be a change in resonance, same goes with spoilers and stuff too, i dont think a front bumper cover would change spl too much, it is too far away from the cabin, although spoilers and maybe even side skirts can change the SPL, aswell as those things that stick out horizontally over your windshield that some trucks have to block the sun

the blue car has the cf hood and bodykit.
the red car has kinda nice tail lights, but i like those rims.
and i dont mind the racing seats as they would most likely vibrate less because they are more solid the factory seats, but idn if that would help spl.

and also, you're not talking to a 18 year old here.. and you've taken my
arguement and twisted it into your favour. I didn't say 100 layers of paint,
I said a new paint job, and as I said, if you "know" how to do body work,
you have to use very little bondo or body filler to smooth out the panel, and
like I said, not a gallon which is what normal people would do, not work the
dent out.
I could see spoilers changing a small small amount cause of "stiffning" the
deck lid, but she's not putting a spoiler on.
And as I also said, you would have to use the same car, test it, then modify
it and test it again.

fauker, 2 layers of paint will change your spl and how the car respondse more than u think. please save your $100. i would tell you that in a crx the spl and peak note is affected by how much gas u have in the tank, but you'll probably tell me that i am wrong or it doesnt make sense cuz u are not an 18 year old.
oh and yes, the hood will also make a big difference, the material that is.

no probs, if you say it'll change that much.
so what your saying is, if the crx resonates at say for example 60 hz,
and I paint it again and agian and it goes to 75 hz, that is within the rules
of the game? so your car gets audited, they're gonna chip your paint to
see how many layers you have.
Are there rules for body kits, wings, paint, hoods etc?

ok ok Now come on here guys , your are making me less excited about my Car.
I can say that Fauker is not an 18 years old Guy, he is old enough and knows his about body work , you should see his truck, he is a good guy and if you need help wtih anything he is great for helping and he knows his .
Now you can all say that body work does that and it does this ,but like Jordy told me the Dbs that we will lose we will find then somewhere else. Jordy told me before i bought my car what body work did to my car , but i didnt let it discourage me. I like my car and i am not going to let anyone bring me down about it. I am going to Compete and be happy with the Number i do, Like a wise guy told me ( Jordy) " your not always going to win , so be happy with the number you do" So i am going to stick by that. So stop arguing about my Friging Rex.
