Cool Looking to install a PIMP System - any advice???

Hey - sup to everybody from the east side of west coast canada. I'm looking to purchase a 1996 350 ZX 2+2 w/ T-Tops. I wanna PIMP it out to the MAX. I want a system (max two 12's in the trunk) that will blow people away as far as QUALITY and LOOKS go. I don't want any really extreme mods, just a really classy, good sounding sytem (volume doesn't have to be too intense).

So far I'm thinking an Eclipse touch-screen navigation/DVD/MP3 unit with satelite radio, rear-view camera, 8 disc changer and two 12" W7 JL Woofers in the back. I don't know what to fill the back deck and front doors with. Deffinately components in the front - should I go with JLs or MB Quarts? Also, I have no idea about amps - JL/ALpine???

I'm looking to do this as cheaply as possible, but with top of the line gear. Any good sources for cheap, quality, CANADIAN car electronics?

Thanks for reading my f*cking paragraph if you did, any tips/reccomendations much appreciated!!!

Peace,
-Bursky

Bursky, I am building a total Baller Big Pimpin system right now in a 06 Commander, estimate is at $45K and climbing. We are basing it around the Eclipse head unit + all the goodies, Focal and Zapco. Want some info, drop me a e-mail at my address listed or call me at 1-888-881-9911.

Who builds a 1996 350ZX ????????

Do you mean 2006 350 ZX?

Or do you mean a 1996 300ZX?

I am going to assume that latter as it makes more sense to me.

I am a firm believer that when you are comparing those name brands, everyone has a different opinion. I would suggest you do your own research to define what you really want to spend your (hard earned?) money on, then make an informed decision on that.

here an idea for your subwoofers, now I am not to sure how many people here are a fan of the MTX brand of subwoofers called the MXS 12 inch woofers. Well if your not you might want to think again. MTX tests their speakers at NASA and has what is known as the indestructable speaker that can be blown up in a sherman tank and still pump the noise. Also the MXS subs can be plugged directly into a outlet in the wall and not blow.........now is anyone else willing to try that with their subs....................didn't thinks so.
for the price MTX is the way to go.

Do you work for MTX or something??

Who cares if a sub is tested at NASA? How can you blow a sub up and still have it 'pump the noise'? Since when does being 'indestructable' mean it's a good sounding product?

Oh...and there are a bunch of subs out there than can take a wall outlet without blowing.

This is a case of the Jedi Mind Trick if I have ever seen it. Man would I have fun warping your mind if you work under me.......the Schwartz is weak with this one. Take all the crapola that MECP and the reps fill your head with and throw it out the window. belongs on the farm and not on the sales floor.
