I was sooo hoping someone else would pop up for the class!!
I'd feel better taking first having earned it rather than being in the class alone!!Hope you don't mind second,Bob...LOL
As far as my setup...I'll be picking up my batts on Thurs/Friday for the weekend...then you MIGHT get to see what I can do...I have a possible chance to do some testing before the Monday, but its not for sure...I may be learning at your shop!
HINT:Go check out the results from the Western Final last year where I had the wall in the Cavy...I'm louder than that now...By how much?We'll see...

well, with my car STILL not yet fixed, i guess i'll just have to pry off my hood to get under it - whatever it takes. as long as i get some work done and hopefully a system up and running that id dB drag worthy.
it's gonna be a long greuling day...but it will be worth it.

Only one more sleep to the T&T day yay!
So my "surprise" upgrade (Aaron came to the shop nosing around wanting to know what it was... sweet talked me till I spilled the beans...) is all done and worked very, very well. I wasn't able to test it as I didn't have a port blocked off anymore, and the system is tuned to have it plugged.
So yesterday I finished up a port plug for the box. Cut one piece of MDF to the size of the port opening, then sanded till it fit snuglike - about a mm in play all around. Then, using this blank, cut another 8 pieces of MDF. Glued all 9 pieces in a stack and clamped for the night.
Then I sanded them like crazy, until it was the perfect size to drop in the port, still with some play around all sides.
Asked my crafty sister-in-law for some felt-like material, and covered the plug in that. Now it fits in the hole snuggly, doesn't even reach the bottom, it seals so nicely.
Hopped in, loaded up the Gorillaz' "Clint Eastwood", and almost creamed my pants... Wow what an improvement!
ANYway... seeya'll tomorrow. I see we have a couple major projects, a few minor ones, and a lot of testing to do.
So, not to be a nag, but no one has offered to bring an SPL mike tomorrow. PLEASE PLEASE... SOMEone please showup with a mike so we can preperlly test!!!

Sweet, with big kudos & thank-yous to Clay, we have a Termpro mike for tomorrow!
So, come early, do the work you're gonna do, the mike setup shows up at 4:00 with Clay and should be there for about 4 hours! So let's have a few cars ready for when he gets there!

I'll be there about 6:30ish...or however I fast as I can get there with the tires rubbing..hehe..
If I might,Bob,I'd like to use your hoist for a few mins to try and get in and bend up some sheet metal thats rubbing on my LR tire...
Anyway...all my wiring probs have been fixed up...all systems are go and hopefully my number will come back up as well...

Although I didn't go up from testing the other night,I got to see some real consistent numbers...which in itself is a great thing...

I got hand Dustin his *** in a bag...Rob did his Will E. Coyote impression...I got the body of the Cavy off the rims(500 lbs in batteries will do that ya know)... [img]graemlins/beer.gif[/img]
