Like the fusing + cone area = class and no fusing automatically jumps you into the highest class.
The problem with the fuses thing is that you can reinforce the fusible element with solder (and wire).

I read some of the stuff for MECA and there seems to be some cool things in their format. I too really like Bassrace. I recall others talking about bringing back CSPL, what is that all about? I mean bringing in another org will only out the competition even more. People can only attend so many events. They will tend to build toward one of them and only go to those events. Therefore I think there will be fewer competitors at shows, which is not a good thing for said organizations...

btw now have you prestiged? lol
No prestige for me... Saturday was a waste and I didn't get to play like I wanted to

For the record though, now that there has been some talk, I'm actually not a fan of the format.

I dislike the placement of the mic along with the rule about fuses.

They have some other funky rules that I can live with but those are the two that sort of bug me enough to make it so I'd say "no thanks"

Have you already started discussions with locations in Quebec?

Also... are you guys doing the Quebec shows? (do you know French?) or would it be someone else who does them out there?

were planning shows with iasca in quebec. If someone in quebec would like a multi point event im more than happy to come out and do it. There is no one else out that way that can do them.

Bingo, we need more competitors at the shows we have already. I don't think I would consider MECA at all. Love the bassrace too much, and Don is an awesome guy to have running the shows, so I can't see myself switching at this point. If there was a local MECA show I would definately go to check it out though.
