Medical Emergency Interrupts Shows

just when i thought things couldn't get any worse...
i had a funny feeling leaving from calgary to drive to the letbridge show on friday afternoon. then, when i took first in street b, i felt like it was too good to be true - it was.
as i was driving out to cranbrook, things seemed to be going well. i caught up with team riprock and a-rok about an hour out of cranbrook. they pulled over and told me that my dad had just had a stoke back in calgary and that i had to turn around and get back home immediately (my cell was broken, and through some network of connections my gf contacted andy to get a hold of me).
bacause we were basically in cranny by that time, we finished the drive and team riprock let me crash in their luxury motel room for the night (thanks guys ). i got up early and drove 4 hours straight to get back to calgary.
then, about 30 kms before calgary, i was low on gas and decided to stop in a small town to fill up. when i did, i saw steam coming out of my hood - the rad hose had been pressed up against my rad from my accident a few weeks ago, and from the long drive had melted a hole in the hose. so i was lucky the engine didn't overheat. so, i had to spend 2 hours in okotoks getting a temp fix put on the hose to drive it into calgary.
finally got to the hospital to see my dad. the drugs they used on him took pretty well and he was lucky that he got in when he did. things look ok for now, but he will never be the same again, and it will take several weeks of recovery and rehab for him to get functioning again.
looks like nothing has been working out for me this summer....
car gets trashed,
parents car gets banged up,
dog dies,
dad has stroke,
work is slow - no money,
missing an amp in my system,
can't figure out why car won't get loud...
the list goes on and on....but that's enough of my troubles...for all you guys who got to the cranny and castelgar shows - sorry i couldn't stay - but i had to get back. i wish i was there with you guys!!! (i even brought out a case of mountain crest, but i'll save it for next time).
if it isn't too much to ask could you guys please keep my dad in your prayers and hope for a speedy/successful recovery? thanks, i'll post again when things settle down a little...
