Need battery(s) and possilby a new alt

So now that I've decided to keep the DD's I went ahead and bought a Soundstream XXX-6500. That being said I am in need of a HUGE battery (preferably) or a few smaller ones. My stock alt is only 110 amp so I am not sure if I will need another one or not, some imput would be appreciated.

for daily, you could upgrade to something more cost effective like yellowtops, an alternator upgrade might be a good idea too. there are lots of aftermarket ones available for a few hundred $$$

those XS power batteries are not that good especially for the weight and size. I will assume that you have a pretty big vehicle if the stock alt is 110 amps. If that is the case get an Odyssey 2150 and put it under the hood, that should be plenty of power for that amp for daily driving. If you are having issues you could always put in another battery but more batteries won't help headlight dimming because your car runs at 14.4volts and batteries don't really help until the voltage has already dropped below 12.8 so if its dimming you are concerned about you may need a bigger alternator. If you don't care about dimming then 1 battery is all you need anyway because once the alternator is overwhelmed that single battery will be just fine to keep the voltage from dipping much below 12.8 if you are just listening to music since its power usage fluctates and is transient during music

they weigh under half the weight of a 2150 oddysy and still render the same results as oddysy and kinetic

Who cares about weight its not a race car. And riprock could use any battery they just got the best price on powermasters. And if you're so conserned about what the twins are running why are you using soundscream amps?
