I'm new here so hi!

I was looking for some advice concerning changing the speakers on my 1999 AUdi A4 (non-avant and non-Bose model) because they're pretty bad. I believe the front speakers are 4" and the back ones are 6.5". I'm currently looking to replace the front ones to start.

However, I'm new to aftermarket car audio so I'm not sure where to start. Ideally, I'd like to know if it's possible and viable to replace only the speakers and not have to rewire the entire system with beneficial results over the stock system. If so, I'd like to know what kind of specs should I be looking for and if you guys had any recommendations? My budget is maybe 100-150$ for the front pair.
