Some of you have probably seen me around in the 88 red civic hatch with 2 12" strokers and various sized boxes but for those of you who weren't in Trenton to see for yourself.....THATS ALL GONE!! I am now running 2 12" Pioneer SPL5000 subs on a modded D2 in a new box to support these 80LB monsters. I also have upgraded to a Clarion touch screen deck and pioneer 6.5" components. The SPL5000's are louder than the strokers as Trenton proved but i am starving for more power to get the full 3" xmax outta them. Anyone got any ideas for good amps?? D2's are outta the Question along with D3's because they don't produce power @ 2ohms and are not strappable. So what else. Oh BTW these subs are Dual 4's.

To everyone I already have met.....Hey Guys!!!

why did u get dual 4's? that's kinda going to screw you. the only amps i see u can use are zapco 9.0 (about $3000 each retail) or the us amps 2000x (only about 50% efficiency)

good luck dude

I'd go with something like 2 kicker KX1200.1 or SX1250.1s strapped, on each sub.

yuli: true, he could get a BP2200 from JBL though, puts out 2200 @ 2 ohms, should do the job.

more expensive than the zapco amp. zapco would produce more than that at 2 ohm and would be more effeicient, plus its a regulated amp so u are almost guaranteed the output regardless of the voltage drop (with in reasonable limits). Althought the jbl amp might be regulated as well? or is that class D? im not very familiar with those amps, the price tags scares me away.
