Audiothunder is much closer to home than Cayuga....and AudioThunder could off been finish the same freaking day...Wayne was able to do the qualify and elimination round...
***Will someone call Lee @ Radioactive and see if they are willing to make exception. Qualify on Sunday.

I think that everyone complaining should just shut the hell up. We have someone that has worked extremely hard to have the certification date changed (yes, Lee was one of the main reasons for this to be changed) and he is also trying to put on one heck of a show.
As for if being too far away from home dBcougar, suck it up. My wife and I drive over 2 hours to the closest show (Oshawa) and most of the time over 3 hours just about EVERY weekend so we can attend shows. Unfortunately no one around here could care less about putting a show on.
So in conclusion, everyone complaining just shut up. Go or don't go. Just don't go posting on here and discouraging people.

you tell him Jon!
But dB Cougar, why are you complaining so much about shows? I dont like that its going to be 2 days but thats the ay it is. Im pretty sure that Lee would want it one day also but I thin that the organizers of bash at the beach want alll competitors to be there for both days. It helps with spectators.
You guys are lucky to evne have this show to get a certified class before the deadline, many poeple including myself Jon Chris B and Lee tried to get this show to count and succeded (sp) so your going to either have to stay for 2 days or just not go at all.
Also why do you want someone else to call Lee? Do it yourself. Im pretty sure you have a phone.
ps. if Matt needs any help judgeing car I can help. I think i know my ABD's of the rule book!

I'm really glad to hear that you guys were able to pull it off and get the certification deadline extended... mad props to you!
And Jon's right, these guys have busted their ball$ off to make this happen, not to mention that it's the last 2X event you have in order to qualify for Finals... good luck to all!
For those of you who can't make the show, if you want a one day show to go to this weekend, there's an IASCA event in Rochester, New York on Sunday (shameless plug... sorry!). It's an hour from the border in Niagara Falls and if you want more info email me or Jeff Fronk at Jcartunes@aol.com . Entry fee is cheap ($25.00 I think) with trophies, prizes and goodie bags.
For those heading to the North of the Border Bash, good luck competing and getting a certified score and have a great weekend! For those who will be coming to Rochester, we'll see you there!

Guys, I am sorry that this has gone this far...I am not trying to discourage ANYBODY, if you only knew how many people I got involved in this sport. I understand that the people that are putting shows together are working extremely hard. And let me tell you that this doesn't go unnoticed...I know that Wayne didn't have to extend the cut off date.
I loved the sport more than the guys next to me...I am drove much further than 3 hours, so I undertand what you're saying.
You are correct, I should and will contact Lee and see if exception could be made...But in all fairness, if competitors aren't able to make it for both days, how come I was the second one to mention something...
Hope to see lots of competitors at the show...

ok the way i see is that there really is no point to make it a 2 day show. People have to waste more time and money. Those who want to see other things would be there for 2 days anyway......so why force those who dont want to be there for the whole weekend? stupid if u ask me. With a 1 day show more competitors would show up. Say the show starts at 12 and end at 5:30, we all could be on our way back before it's dark. So what is the point of qualifyin on saturday???? pretty dumb.
I dont care for the drive, i care about wasted time and opportuning cost of me doin NOTHING at the race track after 1 hour of qualifying.
and yes audiothunder could have been done in 1 day if they didnt have 3 1 hour breaks.
I appreciate all the efforts put into this show by why a 2 day event??? People got families, jobs, prior commitments, etc.
Alex u are not the second one to mention it. there lost of local guys here that wont be able to make it b/c its a 2 day show they all have said this to me.
i see 2 possible solutions to this. People who can not make it on saturday would be allowed to qualify on sunday......OR qualifying on saturday goes the WHOLE day so that other have a chance to make it there later in the evening.
Alex let me know the outcome of your phone call.
