Hey ChrisB: what class are you going to be in? Are you still going to be super street 1-2?

 

I'd advise people to make sure they are within the rules for their class as im going to take it upon myself to make sure everyone is in the right class. As I will be holding a 2x in september! and That will be judged 100% in accordance to the rules.

I say this because i have personally seen a few vehicles that would be moved to other classes becuase they did not meet the specifics of the rules.

 

chris i was thinkin the same thing recently so i asked on termpro and whats happenin this year is that people acutally have a choice of what class they can be in. yes i knwo its retarded but thats how it is now.

For example i asked what class would i be in with 2 12's 2 amps and 2 batteries. all in the trunk. And the reply from Steve was that its up to me what class I want to be in, and my options are: Street C, Super Street 1-2 no wall, Supre Street 1-2 and Extreme 2

apperantly db drag doesnt go by number of subs, amps and batteries as a whole anymore. Now any one of those components can determine what class u are in. Such as, last year with the set up i just listed I could only be in NO WALL b/c of 2 batteries and 2 subs. But now that extra battery would only bump me to street c b/c u are allowed to have extra batt in that class and u dont have to have 4 12's or 2 15's.

I asked why the rules have been loosed up so much and the reason that was given to me was that many local kids have a mixed number and sizes of subs. For example, 2 10's and one 15, or two 8's and one 10, four 8's and one 15......u get the idea, and some of them would have an extra battery. Last year ppl like that would have been put into super street class and get smoked. So this year they are loosing it up and leaving ppl like that in street.

I know u will probably dissagree with it, as I did too, but that's how it is now. So someone with an 8 inch sub and extra battery could be in anything from Street C to Extreme 2 to Monster class.

 

oh i understand that. but im talking more about street cars with boxes over the window line.

I will be there in Super Street 1-2 No Wall of course. The van looks like a mess as far as the install is concerned but I have been pulling my hair out trying to get it louder-to no avail of course .
I was hoping to raise my certified by a few tenths, but now my term-lab isn't working, so I will be just winging it until the show.
