Once again BC guys...GET BUILDING! Whos building what
Without the drama or BS in the last thread.
From my standpoint us British Columbia people (myself certainly included) have been lagging behind big time in the SPL scene the last few years. Altho for SQ cars BC seems to have the best of the best...kinda odd.
So lets all get to work and start building something loud.
You know the easterners are building, aswell as the Alberta guys who never really stop building.
We have a lot of catching up to do just because its winter doesnt mean you can be building...our winters for the most part are very mild so get out there and do err!
Also just a personal suggestion. I vote more people build vehicles that can (and do) demo at shows. Having a super loud looking setup that sits there and burps twice all day doesnt really impress many people. They walk by it say `wow i bet this thing is loud`then walk away. Demoing is where its at...get the crowd involved and interested. If you have a pure SPL setup that doesnt play music just simply make some quick coil jumpers to change the wiring configuration and run ur amp at a higher load so it will play music. With the exception of extreme vehicles.... I dont see any point in having a loud vehicle that just burps at a local show. Unless of course you have a tight spl race for first place and trying to save ur battery power but lets face it....how often does that happen lol
SO BC GUYS....GET BUILDING.
Lets hear everyones builds and goals for 2010. People should do their best to plan classes now and let them be public so that you can actually have some competition in that class which will push you to get louder. Being the only person in a class and pulling a half decent number really isnt any fun. Also aiming to be the only person in a class so that you have an easier time winning is chicken $hit and retarded..there was a lot of this done last year from what I heard and its embarrassing.
IE) Id build a street B car but Will is in street B and he does a 151 so maybe ill just go street A etc.
PS that last example was just made up..it had no actual truth to it
Anyway ill be building my bassracer hoping for 160+ aswell as my daily driver 97 blazer and am undecided on the setup in that. Itll be a rear cargo area style setup..2 18s, 2 15s or 4 15s...something along those lines..tuned low playing music hopefully burping 150+

And enough posting on what your going to do, lets see some pics.

Your personal suggestion stinks. People should build what they want. Burp, baserace, psyclone, demo, what ever the hell they want. imo

lol no guys clearly that wasnt aimed at you...I apologize if it came out that way. You guys dont really have a choice in Canada but to be by yourselves being the only extreme vehicle. Not that it really matters anyway because you compete on the world scale which is completely different from most other canadians. I was more-so referring to Penticton and a couple other shows last year where I was hearing competitors saying "competitor X is in street C for instance and I cant beat him so ill make my box an inch taller and run superstreet where theres less competitors for a better chance of winning" Just seems like a lot of guys are missing the point of competition...they want the bragging rights of winning without having to compete against anyone.
As for my personal suggestion Im simply tryin to get more people opening up their setups like you guys do. Less secrets, less closed up cars etc. Open em up and let em play so that the crowd actually gets interested and our sport can grow.
