Well it's one of those situations where there is no perfect answer.

You don't want 16v systems to be used in the stock class, but a lot of 12v systems charge over 14 or 15v.

So they made it 15.5... seems reasonable to me.

opens the door to high voltage regulated alternators which should also not be in stock class.................

Still better than people running full 16v systems.

They've also decided that a DMM will be attached to the systems in random places to ensure that the voltage is maintained for the run and not bumped up.

There were rumours about a vehicle at finals running a 16v system when it got to the lanes for judging but switching up to a 20v system after it had been inspected.

i doubt 20volts will do anything anyways. culdnt have been shelnut b/c the D5's gain nothing at higher voltage.

the guy that beat Yuli???? more power to him........20v and only by 0.7 db with a rex???

the guy that won stock 3???? didnt even break 154 with 4 12's

Hahaha... no, not in stock.

I think it was one of the advanced competitors.

I didn't really get any details. Like I said.. mostly rumours.

Well I'll be running Street A/Stock again. Fusion amps, not quite sure what sort of subs just yet.

You can have an upgraded Alt in both dbDrag and IASCA. dbDrag because the car is off, and IASCA so long as you don't pass the voltage limit.

The rules for IASCA aren't out just yet. I had sent Moe an email asking him specifially about the voltage limit and he let me in on that part. He can't send out full details just yet though.
