they are now compared to when they were mounted down flat
on amp racks....
I was having problems with my GTO 75.4 getting stinky hot
mounted flat down..now it stays cool
the BPX doesn't even break out a sweat
the JBL amps heat sinks wrap around the bottom of the amp
heat rises.....there is about 2" or so of space between the amps
and the head liner..the amps are bassically suspended with nothing
touching the heat sinks at all...air can circulate all around them
once I am done fiberglassing the amp rack there will be a cooling
fan circulating cool air in between the amps and the head liner
..summer heat will not be a prob and it's got AC

actually that's not the case at all..the amps stay cooler where
they are now compared to when they were mounted down flat

now that makes more sense. I was under the impression that your amps were mounted upside down AND right up against the ceiling. as long as they are suspended, they will indeed cool better, as air can flow all around them to dissapate the heat better.

Hey Trevor, There's a lot of people gunning for the Tempo, so you'd better get on Big Bob there to send them woofers out. I think the only reason some people are coming out to this event is to show you up. Let me know if there's anything I can do to help...

Pizza/beer/install party anyone?...I'll pick up a 24 and a few larges since I am running out of time; I have exams on fri and leave sat afternoon, and the car is in the shop right now getting new wheel bearings, it should be done some time on wed so w/t/f evening?
Even if the box is not done i am still willing to flip the bill for some fun and a couple spare hands, this way we could get everything ready to drop in.
