Well, another summer blast has now come and gone. My wife can now stand to be around me again and my stylist can stop my hair colouring treatments to cover my grey.

Special thanks go out to Richard from Planet Audio, Sony of Canada for sponsoring the event yet again and supplying us with one of their lovely demo cars (I had a blast driving it down from Toronto. My wife's fingernail marks are still in the dash). Thanks to Eric, Dave, Jay, Shawn and Justin of Red Ball for all their help inside, and of course my lovely wife Shari who dictated the scores and handled almost all the registration.

The only problem we did have came at the end of the day. I had sold my Sony ES 5 ch amp and the buyer had one of our competitors pick it up for him. As he was returning to his car with my amp in hand, he noticed that his own amp was missing. In all the years we have had this competition, I don't know of any thefts happening. We try to keep security strong and have our employees keep an eye on things. I am very sorry this happened, however once the police arrived and were told a description of a suspect, the officer knew exactly who to question and was off to the punk's house.

Thankfully that didn't bring the day down too much. Thanks to all who came. The sound-off industry wouldn't be anything unless people actually come out and compete. Who cares if you don't think you will hit any good numbers. Come out to the events and get some ideas on how to improve your system.

Thanks again for making Summer Blast 11 a success.
