Hey Ken!
The show in the states is in Syracuse, New York, and if memory serves me correctly, it's about 3 1/2 hours from Toronto.
Entry fee into the show, including gate admission which gives you two weekend passes is $30.00. The IASCA event is $50.00, so your total cost is $80.00. The organizers of the event (Right Coast Cars) have told me that for Canadian competitors, they will take Canadian money at par.
Now, I'm not sure what you're asking when you say "And the IASCA show is Sat. and the dB Drag is Sunday is that right?", but I'll try to clear it up. For the Sport Compact Invasion show in Milton, both the dB Drag and the IASCA events are on Saturday. For IASCA, registration starts at 9 am.
For the Sport Compact & Truck Blast show in Syracuse, New York, it is only an IASCA event. The actual SQ and IdBL events are on Sunday only, and registration time is the same, 9 am. On Saturday in Syracuse, there is a judges training seminar (starting at 9 am), and in the afternoon the first round of IASCA Everblast Bass Boxing will start. On Saturday evening, the Bass Boxing Finals will be held, followed by a neon glow off competition when the sun goes down. There's also a huge party Saturday night. For more info, go to www.rightcoastcars.com and click on the Sport Compact & Truck Blast logo; that'll bring up all the info for you.
We set up the Milton IASCA show for Saturday and the Syracuse IASCA show for Sunday, so that those who want to compete in both have the opportunity. For IASCA members, it's a 5X weekend if they compete at both!
Hope this helps my friend, if you have any other questions, call me at the shop.
