Rules questions as you get ready for the regionals?
Just wanted to say I am here for any questions you may have if your getting ready for the regionals in your area. I just ask that you ask the questions here with pictures if need be so that if others have the same questions can also get the same help.
With regards to Street Stock if your amp is rated at the proper power for the class your good to go. If its rated for more power than the class allows it can not run in that class.
Now with that said, of the amps that are rated within the proper street stock class we can clamp the outputs if we feel it is doing more than the allowed power. There are alot of amps rated under 1000wrms but they do way way more and you guys know what I speak about. We are not required to clamp but to keep it fair we can do so if we choose.
Also keep in mind you can use any amount of cone area so however many subwoofers you use is up to you as long as their coils are not larger than 2.5". We done away with the "Consumer Grade" definition so make sure you follow the coil size limitation. All other rules are the same.
Music must be used at all certified events, we have been slack with this but we all will tighten up regulating this as it seems more experienced people are hanging out near the beginner classes. I always try to move people up after they have had a year in the entry class.
If you have any Psychlone questions for when you go to regionals to compete in it post here also.
I will be back here monday so hopefully theres a few questions I can take a crack at answering. I will do my best to get you the best answers so you can feel safe going to the shows without problems.

No, I will have just hearing protection for everyone. Not everyone is able to burp outside the vehicle and/or have a podium.
I won't DQ or exclude anyone because of this and if you can operate it from outside we always like to see this. This goes for Bass race and Psychlone also.
We always must protect our hearing especially at shows because this is where you normally get loud demo's, theres alot of ambient noise and you actually get to turn your own system up. Everyday most of us don't turn it up to the ear damaging levels we do at shows.
We respect our ears at the shows while we are in the lanes and anyone who is not in the industry who is watching has that much more respect for what we do.

isn't this a safety issue outlined in the rules that should be followed though??? Also in the db drag racing creed:..."I will not operate my system in a manner that can result in injury" hearing rules are important. once you lose it, you can't get it back.

But my view is - A customer, yes I said customer, should not have to go buy a new radio that supports a remote. I feel a rookie, should not be penalized by the gear he has bought in the past (because he did not know better).
For example, the kid who came out and in Street B in Kamloops, should I DQ him because he sat in the car? He also lost by 8.5 db in the final. Or should we educate him and grow a new competitor?
In the regionals, I do not except many rookie to be in the final, who do not know the rules.
I always ask both competitors if the accept this bending of the rule, but if one of the competitors says "no", the rule is strictly enforced.

I agree with this statement, Ray and I always had different views on this. If both competitors have more than 2 years experience I will enforce this.
But my view is - A customer, yes I said customer, should not have to go buy a new radio that supports a remote. I feel a rookie, should not be penalized by the gear he has bought in the past (because he did not know better).

I agreee , I was just asking as im bringing up a buddy this is his first year competing , and just wanted to make sure we didnt have to buy him a remote for his deck , hes running street stock b with 2 12s , 2 batterys and a small pioneer amp
