why dont you guys just make your own league like nespl , you could make your own rules and have a final at the end

got a bit of an update.

looks like there is a VERY good chance that don and a few people from Ontario might be coming to NS for a show this summer. Were just trying to get some few details hacked out and we'll probably be having a certified event happening.

Luke99, Were looking at changing our rules over to the termpro rules and making some major changes to how we run things to make it more fair for new comers and people with less experience.

so in turn we could end up making our own local league out here once we make the changes to our rules and get them established.

certified shows are alot more fun especially if you guys did a double or tripple point show would get more interest especially from the ontario side and maybee the local us states that are close by

spitfire04 02-03-2011 01:50 PM

well i think the guy thats getting most of this set up with don said we could see anywheres from 6-8 guys come over from ontario.

now all we need is some good advertising. know of any sites for clubs close by that we might be able to let people know about?

before you do anything makesure you have a solid place to hold this event.

the shakiest part about holding your own events is the location. there are many variables to consider.

makesure you do not do a show at a shop that is close to residential area, at any minute cops can shut it down.

makesure the land lord of the place is OK with this, often times they will shut it down as well.

makesure you are not disrupting anything - not creating unncessary traffick or unsafe environment for anyone who's around.

also be sure you do not bring too many idiots to a show. often times in toronto you get cops showing up and trying to shut things down b/c a few idiots go out of control and start doing something retarded like burn outs in a parking lot full of spectators.

doing shows at central locations often times brings out more people but can also cause problems. plan carefuly.

thanks for the advice yuli.
the place we are having it is at a local car audio shop (which is next to 2 soccer fields and a baseball field) that has been holding this car show 10 years now. it kicks off the apple blossom festival down in the valley. the cops are actually very helpful with this show and direct traffic and help us out with trouble makers and what not. the town enjoys us having this show because it bring so many more people for the start of the festival. so i dont think we will have many complaints from locals or cops

in past years we haven't had many issues at all thankfully, so hopefully things will go as well as they have in the past. we've always had good turn outs for the show and some of the best turn outs for the db competition.

Has anyone ever been metered out your way in N.S or surrounding areas. Whats you high scores or even what kind of builds. Any one have walls?

spitfire04 02-03-2011 06:39 PM

Well we do have 2 guys with the term lab system, so yes a lot of people have been metered. now if your talking certified scores, no. The last time we had a certified judge out here (so I've been told) was over 5 years ago.

Right now that highest score that we know of right now was a 150.0 last summer which was me. i was running a single 12 TFONE, 2 Atomic at5000's and 2 optima blue top battery's. but i am going with a legit street class A setup this season, so some major changes are happening this year. im still hoping to hit 150 but we will have to wait and see what happened's.

As for walls the closest thing to a wall that i know of is a buddy of mine has 2 12's in a grand am gt with it all fiber glassed in from the rear deck down and the box built into the trunk with the ports firing out towards the front of the car, which are just to the right of the subs.

there is only 3 or 4 of us that are above 145, most others are between 140-145.

there was another guy who was going to UNB from the middle east
he had an Escalade EXT
with 3 - 15 inch wardens on 2 - ia40.1s
300 amp alt and 2 - odyssey 2150
but didnt meter it :(

spitfire04 02-03-2011 08:15 PM
