where the heck were all the db drag competitors?

the price they charged for a 3x is the same as some people charge for a 2x!!!

this show was awesome and when i saw that small of a turn out for db drag i was honestly upset...!

for anyone who doesnt know, it probably costs around $2,000-$3,000 just to put on a 3x point event with registration and judges and trophies.... it all adds up...

its just sad!!

they deserved a good turnout and the db drag community failed to deliver!!

does anyone have good turn outs on Saturdays for shows? I honestly thought it was on a Sunday until the last minute when I realised it was Saturday...unfortunately I had already told my wife I would help her volunteer at a mouthguard clinic for little kids and I would have gotten none for the rest of my life if I had bailed out on her I wish I could have gone though I need the points

seems to be repetitive that multi pointers having low attendance ...
there goes your idea of only relying on locals only !!

all the locals got scared off with the 'battle fo the borders' nonesense. i dont blame them. not a single local was there. try not to invite americans so hard next time (none of whom showed up anyways).

this wasn't my show.... it was nick and rogers!

i am good friends with nick and roger and i supported them fully... i entered my car in db drag, bassrace and the car show... plus got 4 other guys to enter!!! i did my part..

my shows i rely on locals and i cater the show around them... this was a 3x show and you cant rely on locals cuz they dont want to compete against yuli or les and they dont want to pay $50....

so we rely on you guys to come, and not a lot of you did... so if someone wants to know whats gonna happen to db drag shows and promoters in the future just look at the turnouts for the multis this year and you will see!!!

we as a db drag community need to fix whats going on... we need to try and recruit more people to join our sport... we need to promote it more and get more exposure...

the same thing happened in 2002 when the db drag scene died down in southern ontario and canada sent almost no competitors to finals....

its gonna happen again if we dont do something about it and get more people interested!!

my 2 cents....

It is a shame there was a low turn out if there had been more mention of the fact street stock was be offered more locals might have come they would not be going against guys like Yuli. Less. Ed. and I. Hell I worked may a$$ of to get the neon ready for this show just to blow up the sub in testing but still went and the fact that I got second in st C using my mids shame full i say. But like you guys said bad turn out this year no show next year. Oh as for the comment about it having to do with it on a saturday don't think that is the issue
