Soundsurround, not around, around?

What's this I hear? Soundsurround just shut down all but 1 install bay in the Calgary market? Anyone shed some light on this?
Does that mean we have some fellow compatriots of our industry without work at the busiest time of year?

what I understand is Soundsaround is openning a large central installation bay to serve all locations.

^ Yeah, that sounds totally convenient for the customer

It does make sense though from several points of view. One $3000 table saw rather than a whole bunch of $800 or $900 dollar ones will usually be way more accurate and last alot longer. Same with other tools. As well it should be alot easier to train new installers and keep them up to date rather than a bunch of bays with 2 installer one of whom has to train the other.

^ yep, makes way more sense for the business, but not for the customer.
I used to get all kinds of greif when working at an indy and our install bay was offsite. People don't want to have to drive over to some bay - they want to 'pull er around'
