A thread to maybe help new competitors like myself
Hey everybody ! Since signing up to this forum i have met some great people, One in paticular is luke99 who has helped me whenever i have had questions. I have taken care to note everything down & spent time organizing all my information related to competition rules, dates, locations, etc.
So i am now making this thread to try & return the favor to the community, If it doesnt help anybody then no harm done if it does then great because i want to try & make this as easy as possible for new competitors or people on the fence, So that it purseaudes them to take a try at their first show if i can lay everything out in an easy format on exactly how to get started down the path in competing.
So first lets start with memberships, There are obviously differant ogranizations, each with their own memberships. I have focused mostly on the ones that will be needed in canada.

The USACI & IASCA are the 2 most important to have as they will likely be the organizations hosting the most events within our country.
Now for the 2011 rules, I havent been able to download them because the link isnt working for me, But luckily i did before the link stopped working so i will share them in here for anybody who needs them, Just copy & paste !
Finally before i paste the rules I will share the event dates i have so far aswell as all information related to the events that will help you organize for them !
* Inc Ridez/kustomx - Surrey B.C
WHEN : june 5th
* soundsgood - coquitlam B.C
WHEN : june 12th start: 9am - finish: 4pm
Gates open at 8:00am. SQ starts at 10:00am & SPL starts at Noon.
* whirlwind audio - Creston B.C
WHEN : September 25th (sunday) Camping starts on the Friday night.
Entry fee : $50 dollar fee to compete in 2 events

there won't be much at ridez inc show that will be at soundsgood.....completely different crowd....would be best to pend time getting your cars louder then going to a show and shine, as compitition at soundsgood shows is always tough....

some others might think differant, You dont have to keep repeating this in every thread that mentions trophys I dont think it impresses anybody anymore than the scores in your signature. Its great and all you are beyond the realm of trophy collecting but others might feel differant so i think the option for trophy's depending on the enterance fee the person pays is the best idea !

Somthing like this seems like a great idea to me & nice and fair for everybody, Including people who share your feelings for trophys.
In the end i think its just important competitors have somthing to show for their achivements at thease shows. A certificate with their DB's hit, & placing in the competition maybe with some cash, But the idea of just getting some cash for placing first or second or whatever doesnt appeal to me by its self because then there is nothing to hang on your wall or put on your shelf to remind you of say when you first started, etc.
