Not looking good for him right now. He must have had a technical problem in qualifying, only hit a 146.9, which is low for him. Right now it doesn't look like he is going to qualify for eliminations. Feel real bad for him, hope he still enjoys finals though.
Haven't seen Ray go yet.

Bulldogger 10-25-2003 10:36 AM

I was thinking the same thing  Looks like Lauf got a re-run, and will make eliminations. Robby Shores just put up a 161.8 in SS 1-2. Hwabout that Street A qualifying #

Green Hornet 10-25-2003 10:42 AM

It looks like Chris Cecco is right on the bubble right now, he is sitting in 8th. Maybe their was a mic error for Rob too, maybe they will let him run again like perfect tones?

Has your video feed been updating? Mine won't?????

Bulldogger 10-25-2003 10:44 AM

Mine's working perfectly, XP

Bulldogger 10-25-2003 10:54 AM

Tim Phillips is about to go, look out Lauf!!!

Bulldogger 10-25-2003 10:55 AM

ouch that hurt!

Green Hornet 10-25-2003 10:56 AM

Kaboom! Phillips rules SS 1-2, look at Mike Stiers from the trunk of his neon, 152.6!!!! That is huge!!!

Bulldogger 10-25-2003 10:58 AM

Maybe I should have listened Tim's advice from now on ;)

Green Hornet 10-25-2003 11:01 AM

Perfect tones is now sitting on the bubble too in 8th, if they make it they have Phillips in the first round.

Bulldogger 10-25-2003 11:02 AM

No more scores over 160.3 in SS 1-2  or Perfect Tones is out

Bulldogger 10-25-2003 11:03 AM

Damn

Bulldogger 10-25-2003 11:04 AM

Their out

Green Hornet 10-25-2003 11:07 AM

That sucks for them, too bad. Canadians falling, that was the big Oki that put them out from Germany, good to see him do well, came a long way.
Team Divine sand-bagged, he is using a Crown 6000 at finals, won't see how it does until eliminations I guess.

Bulldogger 10-25-2003 11:10 AM

cool, good for Oki

A-Rok 10-25-2003 11:28 AM

Yeah, I heard Mike Steirs was having troubles getting over 150 lately.. and then 152.6?

I guess Eric is still sandbagging, even at finals.

As far as Rob's stuff goes, so long as he didn't change his box or get bigger amps, that is what he was hitting on my meter the night before he left for the states. He needs more power to compete with that type of equipment.

Green Hornet 10-25-2003 11:35 AM

He hit way better than that at the double last month with 2 d2's and his kicker 10's?? What did he change from then, he hit a 149.8 or something?

A-Rok 10-25-2003 11:45 AM

Those were D3's and Kicker 12's.

He still has the 12's but only has ZR1000's on them now. That is a lot less power.

He did a good job anyways. He is an excellent competitor and deserved his finals invite over anyone I can think of.

Green Hornet 10-25-2003 11:52 AM

I agree, he did a good job this season, deserved the invite. I am puzzled though, why would he not run the louder gear at finals?

Bulldogger 10-25-2003 11:55 AM

No one lent him better amps

Green Hornet 10-25-2003 11:57 AM

Where did the Earthquake's go?

Green Hornet 10-25-2003 12:13 PM

164.4 qualifying for Ray, good score.

Bulldogger 10-25-2003 12:19 PM

4th, hope it holds up

ChrisB 10-25-2003 02:40 PM

Just to goto finals is an acomplishment in itself! Still be proud of them!

Bulldogger 10-25-2003 02:46 PM

agreed!

Green Hornet 10-25-2003 02:53 PM

Absolutely, I would give anything to be there. I am not missing it next year competing or spectating.

Number 2 10-25-2003 03:11 PM

If Robby doesn't win his class i will never let it go. Who would compete a great season and go to finals only to be disappionted.

Green Hornet 10-25-2003 03:52 PM

It's easier said than done man. It's a different world at finals, look at the scores and see for yourself. You have to go big to even place in Nashville.

A-Rok 10-25-2003 04:37 PM

I definately agree.
Rob did VERY well this year and has come a long way. Not many people can get a world qualifying stereo into their car, and Rob proved he's got what it takes to get there.
I have the feeling he'll be back with an even louder system next year.

I think alot of people will be back louder next year ;)

Just my 2 cents here...

I really dont think the title "too bad for rob vo" is really applicable...

It should be more like "great job, rob!!"

Rob has not only put together a world class system, but has also proved himself to be a world class person too, both in comp and away.

In this last year or so,Rob has been there as one of the best friends i have even had the honor of having.

As far as "if he doesn't..."yeah..its going to suck big time, but look at it from this point of veiw....how many other Street A cars in Canada got the invite? How many other people outside of USA have the huge honor of being there?

Answer:NO ONE!! Rob is the only foreigener and Canadian competing in that Class...That alone in my books makes him a champion.

Anyway...has anyone heard as to how things are going in Nashville??I'm dying to know...

seege 10-25-2003 06:07 PM

Too bad Rob is stuck with the zr1000's, cause he could have done some big numbers with the D3's. Is it because he wanted to support kicker or did he not have the D3's anymore? If he needed amps, I could have lent him a pair of biggies that could have given the D3's a big challenge, but they are still sitting in my closet, waiting to go in whatever setup I conjure up for next year. Hope western canada can make themselves known at finals this year none-the-less.

Number 2 10-25-2003 07:06 PM

I was just joking. Remember how I got last place at finals, it was only 6 days ago. I'm just bugging Rob.

BTW: Alert to anyone who may go to finals next year with Rob.
You'll think someone is running a chainsay in your room in the middle of the night, like waking up in a horror movie. This guy snores like Satan.

Jesus.. Maybe I'll stick with my cavi for next year

Chillin' in the woodwork 10-26-2003 01:58 AM

I've heard the chain saw first hand myself. Ray, Rob and I stayed in the same Hotel in Regina. He is a great guy and he is the king of Street A here in Canada.

Father Yuli 10-26-2003 06:32 AM

yah he's a great guy but i dont know about king of street A in canada, i belive u might be forgeting some eastern guys here. butwhatever watch us next year.

Good job Rob. anyone know what kind of car Rob is using?

As far as his car....88 Dodge Colt 2 dr htchbck....goldish bownish color....thus..Loud Brown Kicker Colt...

But hes talking of another car....Another Colt perhaps?

I'll never tell...muhahahaha

dB Don 10-26-2003 11:11 AM

Congrats to Rob no matter where he placed at finals.

I think I might be getting into the custom amp making buisness for a bit and putting two Harcores in one case for a two channel amp. Thus 4 hardcores in street-A LOL.

If you can find me a battery that won't puke running that, I might take a couple

Rip Rock 10-28-2003 01:09 AM

rob never hit us up for amps before he went. I assumed he had the D3's in there. all rob had to do was call and we would of lent him a pair.
never the less, rob did do a good job up here and well as going to finals.

we should of went, we would of placed middle of the pack . another rebuild is in the had for this year:D
