The biggest issue is that I'm planning on three shows this year. If I spend too much on awards, then it won't really work out.
I am trying to take up some of the slack that Andrae's has left. So keep that in mind for when you are asking for extra . I believe that I can help to grow this industry, but I'd rather not do it alone.

true but from a competitor stand point somone who travels to 10 plus shows and spends 500 plus minimum to get to shows its nice to take somthing home for your efforts not just a peice of paper , was bad enough going all the way to world finals and getting a shitty plastic cup for winning the regional , I understand theirs budgets involved but a nice prize can be had for a reasonable price

SQ you do what you got to do to keep shows affordable to you while giving people a place to compete and get their car metered at. Its tough in the beginning making shows pay their own bills but it is possible.
We cannot do it without the competitors understanding and attendance. Once the attendance is up to 20-30 per show then entry fees can drop dramatically or amazing awards can be offered. Who knows maybe Canadian championship rings are in our future?

both are ok, but Renslip is best :cheeky4:

Read backwards if you dont understand...

I am happy with what ever is given, but for me a closet full of trophies is not really what I like, Then in the garbage in the end, I rather see cash for costs , or entry fee regained. I do see luke point as well, thousands is spend no matter which way you look at it, and everyone has different opinion as to what they want for a prize other than braggin rights. So many people cant believe the time and money I invest and for what ??

Keith,
I am running into the same dilemma??? A couple of years ago the Western finals in Penticton did belts....It seemed like a great idea, until you got there and saw the belts (they were kidda cheesy...no offense). I like the idea of giving cetificates for everyone, and maybe a nice hang on the wall plaque for the 1st place guys... I also like the idea of cash prizes but seems to only appeal to the newbees (I don't know why?),
Luke,
Why trophies???

Certificates for everybody, Plaques for 1st placers / cash prizes I think is a great idea.

We still looking @ 20-30 dollars for the gate fee ? If so that isnt so bad at all, To compete in a class & have a chance at some prizes / have a good time meet new people, Seems reasonable to me.

We'll all see how much you really learned at finals from the first number you put down in that new box on four neos. I'd better see a better score than 158.lol:smokin:

Depending on how much my up-front costs are will depend on how much we charge. I'm willing to lose some money to have the shows, but not too much.
