Trophies from SCI
#22
these SCI people are ****ed. Pardon my french but if they expect people who have gone to the worst show of the year for organization, to go to the show next year and not get trophies they can bet on it being the last show i go to that involes them. That has nothing to do with the db draggers or the idbl'ers to show up next year then they are ****ed

Just for the record, anyone who wishes to contact Paul from SCI, his email address is paul.w@tunerzonline.com .
I have taken it upon myself to email him and forwarded him a couple nasty emails that we have received at IASCA head office about the show.
Also, for all the competitors who competed in IASCA SQ and IdBL, if you have not received your trophies from him by September 15th, I will personally have trophies made for you and send them out. I refuse to let the inactions of a show promoter keep you from what you deserve; you paid your money to go, and you deserve the trophy you earned. If it wasn't for you all, there wouldn't have been a show, so you should get recognition for it.
Thanks for your patience, but in my eyes you shouldn't have to wait any longer.

Moe... you have got to be the classiest guy I know.
Glad to see someone is stepping up and working towards a solution.
(not that Paul & others involved in the show wouldn't.. it appears as though this is SCI's problem)

Moe I cannot speak for everyone.. but personally I wouldnt want you taking a hit on this. It would just give SCI an easy way out, and also encourage such actions in the future. It wouldn't be fair to you!
Your just too good Moe!!

Thanks Jordy and Chris, I appreciate your kind words... I'm a nice guy, I don't care what Yuli said about me! (lol - j/k)
Anyway, I hear what you're saying Chris, but unfortunately it's promoters that do this kind of thing that reflect badly on ALL the organizations, because most competitors perceive the organizations as the ones "running" the show. Besides that, as you know I'm the kind of person who looks after his friends and fellow competitors, you guys have supported me and I don't think you guys as competitors should take the hit for it.
I was the guy that arranged the IASCA portion of the show even though I wasn't able to be there and like Paul from Perfect Tones, was not aware that he didn't have the trophies there; I took Paul from SCI at his word and even ASKED him, two weeks before the show, who would be responsible for getting the trophies. He told me that they had them all taken care of and not to worry, so I assumed (my first mistake, because you know what ***-u-me means) that he already had them. Because I assumed, I didn't follow it up, which was my second mistake.
Once the show was all done, I had heard through the grapevine that he would be mailing out the trophies, and thought that was kind of weird, because it would cost him as much to mail out the trophies as it would cost him FOR the trophies, but figured he would be a man of his word and do it. Unfortunately, he hasn't (to date).
So I plan on supporting you guys and gals as you have supported me; you've earned those trophies and you deserve them, so if he is not willing to stand up and take responsibility for the people who supported his show, I will stand up and take responsibility for my IASCA friends.
I'll give him until September 15th to do the right thing and after that I will take action. And believe me, it's a learning curve for me too, I won't be so quick to believe a person who tells me they have something arranged the next time; I'll follow it up before the show to make sure it's done, so we don't have a situation like this again.
You guys and gals are DA BOMB!
