Hey guys, I was just wondering where I could get some training or a certification, in or around calgary?

Pick up an MECP book, learn it, take the test. A monkey can pass the basic installer test. Once you have your Basic MECP you'll have a much easier time finding a job in the industry. Just don't expect the pay to be all that high, you'll do a lot of remote starters and head unit swaps.

no professional experience, but I installed most of my friends stereos, and took 3 years of electronics in high school, mostly residential wiring.

Any idea where I could get a MECP book and where I can take a test? Would it be through a college?
