You know it.. Back in 'the day' pulling a smokin 135db would win most SPL events - and that included cars with walls in them..

Well........ The Dodge Colt only has 2/ 12" Cerwin Vega dual VC subs. powered by a Nakamichi 400M @ 220WRMS per sub = 440WRMS (ported enclosure). the front end is powered by a Zapco 150/200 with ESM module = 100W x 2 and the rear Nakamichi PA-300II 75x2. Total power= 790Watts RMS not huge power by any means.
And SPL back then is done with "music" .

^ Oops Correction.
The 12' dual voice coil CV were put in later, along with replacing the Zapco 150/200 with another Nakamichi 300II.
During the 86-87 shows..... Actually the Turbo Colt was running two 10" MTX polypropolene cone 4 ohms subs (MTX very 1st series). and power wise will be 160W from the Nakamichi 400M x2 = 320W, Total system power is: 670wrms

Anything over 500W RMS back then was a lot of power. And expensive too. No class-D 1500W China-made crap back then. The most popular classes back then was the 100-250 or 250-500 class. Mostly saw 1 or 2 amp systems.
