What type of rides for 2006 SPL
#41
Actually in 2005 the record for SM 1-2 and SS 1-2 NW were both held by a panda, and SS 1-2 is held by a citroen which is almost the exact same vehicle as a panda, so no it isn't just good for street. The panda dominates more classes in dB Drag than any other vehicle.

hmm, I was just flipping through the 06 dBDrag rules.. I thought ALL classes banned commercial vehicles but it looks like only the Street classes don't allow them.
With this information, it looks like the Hearse is going to land in the SS 5+ class

regarding db drag rules, i've always pondered these questions:
is a golf cart allowed in something like extreme (its self powered and holds 2 people, and is a personal transport vehicle, not commercial.
how about one of those 3 wheel british cars with 1 door in the front?
how about a porsche with a sub box in the front? i have never seen or come accross a porsche?
how about a fiero then?
how about an el camino, is it allowed and is it a cutthru? or is it stock. or ssnw?
how about an rv. that is not a commercial vehicle. would it be allowed in stock?
how about boats, are they allowed in stock? the only place ive seen boats in a show is dave show in kelowna.
how about a motorcycle. i actually had one motorcycle dude get mad at me cause he couldnt create spl with 4 inch coaxs mounted up front on his motorcycle. i let him enter for free and he hit 116 db. dude was furious that i didnt have a seperate mototcycle category for just bikes.
there are many more vehicles that dont follow the body style of a conventional automobile. any one else know of any?

Golf cart is open air. Why bother? As soon as you try to box it in you violate the exterior mod rule.
Those 3wheel BMWs (name escapes me) have ZERO room for a box.
Porches and Fieros have limited room in the front trunk. I did a Fiero with 4 8s behind the seats - it was pretty loud.
An ElCamino actually has a storage area behind the seats, under the bed, open to the cabin. There used to be a white one that rolled around Saskatoon/Regina. He did a bed cut but had a pair of 18s in it and later 4 10s in a wicked plexi box. The 18s hit pretty hard. He used Linear Power amps.
and...I don;t careabout RVs, boats, or bikes

just bring out the powerwheels those are fun and are louder than all the cars across town . Kids of all ages love them (big and small ) at shows . Easy to trailer around and dont require so much money to build under $1000 u can make it bling bling
