We definetly need, the shops to accept more shows, they dont seem to care anymore, people want to go to shows, promoters are out their or guys are talking about the shows. but no shops are having them. It could bring them in great exposure and business from the broader areas of car audio.

Shops still hold shows. But nobody really has a good showing of cars. I have seen where these guys plaster a 3x all over the place to get people just to end up losing thier *** on it.
If you got friends that want to do shows great. Get them into it and if they get stomped tell them so what. You learn from the pros and keep working at it. Thats how alot of pros did it too.
Shows in Canada have been holding alot of shows these past few years. 2007 for DB Drag Finals I think all my points except 1 show were in Canada. Support the shows no matter who it is holding it is the biggest thing. You make a commitment to go then show up. Most shows are posted well in advance too.
Now as for great exposure for some businesses, unless its one of your current customers it is hard to really sell equipment to someone attending. You can usually throw things on sale to get some new customers or people just watching. But alot of the pros buy top equipment and cant afford retail. So it isnt cost effective for shops really. Alot do it in hopes to gain potential new sales and to get thier location noticed more. You can usually sell more with holding car shows then you usually can advertising in a local newspaper.

My suggestion is everyone post up thier show list by the end of march. No 2 shows same day within say 100 miles unless one is early and one is late.
All 2x and 3x should be on weekends with no other shows to hopefully generate people to come out.
Do some local shows say on a friday night or wednesday night even.
Do a cruise night with a DB Drag show..
Theres tons of ideas but it is all up to the people to show up......
