Where to buy box carpet in the Lower Mainland?
I've been searching for a local retailer that sells carpetting for subbox's in the Vancouver/Lower mainland area without any success. I figured this would be the best place to ask since chances are, alot of you are in Vancouver or have some idea of a good place to look. I need to get my hands on some black or grey automotive carpetting to finish a few boxes and would like to find somewhere that sells it by the meter/ft, but in precut rolls will also be fine.
I've found places online that will ship it, but damn it costs alot to ship, sometimes more than the product itself, so that is out of the question.
Thanks for your help,
Sejin

A SQUARE FOOT?? Who sells carpet by the square foot?? Most places go by the linear yard since that's how they buy it. Incidentally, a linear yard of car carpet from an audio shop is 9square feet which would be $45 a yard which would be a freakin rip off.
Most places sell carpet or trunkliner at $15 a linear yard. Trunkliner is wider so it's cheaper per unit area but, well, it's trunkliner...

I believe Beamriders uses the R/T brand of carpet. I've used it and didn't like it. It seemed to have some kind of pattern of parralel lines in it. And it fuzzed rather quickly too. The grille cloth they have is nice though. There's some different kinds of carpet out there. The stuff I have in my truck is kind of a thicker pile (I'd rather have shorter pile) and it fuzzes somewhat easily but it stretches really well too. Oh, if you need the carpet to stretch or anything, do NOT get carpet with a backing on it.
